I grew up with heavy equipment (Papa ran his own small business). As a Marine, my first two M.O.S.'s were mechanics, and over the decades that followed I've worked in a few fields, professionally. No matter what the job is, you can't abuse/mistreat people willing and applying themselves. They're LEARNING, and a good Leader, Supervisor, Mgr./Owner knows to lead by example. Abusive people are a dime-a-dozen, and even *IF* they happen to be good at whatever they're doing, NO ONE WANTS TO BE AROUND THEM, and that alone will cost you OTHER 'Good People.'

I burnt down my last place of business without being caught because my boss yelled at me for using too much water when I used my downtime to clean the dishes in the kitchen to help the office. He then told me no one trained him so I shouldn’t expect to be trained but I should expect to be called out for mistakes. I used carbon fiber tape, roof insulation, gasoline and a firework fuse.
