I live in So. Cal and I have never heard of Kikuyugrass, we learn something everyday.

Oh man, Kikuyu is all over the place down here. Every lawn you see that gets mowed and looks spotted with brown after the mow, especially those that feel super spongy to your foot are almost all Kikuyu. It looks vastly different than the Bermuda and Fescue that you see in your neighborhood. Stolons are like ropes. LOL

Based on your recent videos, you really want a sterile, mostly dead backyard. The future is diverse, more sustainable backyards. Keep up!

Ohh I have no interest in non-diverse yard spaces, I just like delineation. Flowers have their place, shrubs trees, and the garden all have their spaces just like the lawn has it's place too. I'm also looking forward to 2025 getting back to my roots using as little chemical as possible again. To date though I've not put any chems or synthetic stuff on or near my garden area ever. Just gotta keep expanding that natural radius.
