i've tried the zig/kuretake art & graphic twin and they are not beginner-friendly. the nibs "squish" too easily so it's difficult to control line thickness. i was having such a hard time that I only appreciated calligraphy and started studying it more when I finally tried the tombows and WOW what a difference. Zig's brushables handle similar to the tombows though, so if you want to stick to zig and you're a beginner, try that instead.
@anjanilarasati37206 жыл бұрын
fufufuaru i love the art and graphic twin, it’s flexible and has a wide variation of colours, i recommend it since it’s double sided, also, it makes a cool watercolour effect, but I guess it’s quite pricey, it goes around $3.75 each. but i respect your opinion, and yes, tombows and brushables are very comfortable and one of my favorites as well :)) *sorry for the long comment

For anyone who wants something similar to the tombow dual brush pens and lives in the UK check out WHSmith!! They do their own brand version, very similar to the tombow with a double ended brush tip and a fine marker tip, but their colour range isn't as varied as tombow's. Can't really argue for the price though!

Hi, I'm a beginner and I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "flexibility" of the pens. How exactly does it influence how difficult using them will be?
@judithmorgan17186 жыл бұрын
the softer the nib, the more challenging to control the up thin stroke and down heavy stroke with lettering. the firmer the nib, (and smaller nibs) are easier to feel the shift in weight in both directions and build muscle memory.

It would be really helpful to see because when there's so many different pens sometimes it's hard to remember :P Just a suggestion from me though! Thanks Jasmine
