The Best DoTC Character - Sunny's Spiel | Warriors Analysis

Happy end of Pride Month! Time to discuss an extremely aromantic asexual woman.
I love Tall Shadow. I have loved Tall Shadow for a long time. She was, and is, one of my favorite examples of how well Dawn of the Clans can write its support and background cast to be consistent, complex, enjoyable characters who, nevertheless, have flaws that play off of other characters’ situations.
That said, it has been a while at this point since I have read Dawn of the Clans. Where I often have to read almost all of the modern books in order to do research on specific characters, lore, trends, or otherwise, Dawn of the Clans being in a different time and culture is not often a necessity in my research trains, and because of that has faded in pieces from my memory.
So, now that it’s time to revisit, is Tall Shadow as good as I remembered? What captivated me about her the first time? And where, even with her, might there be flaws in her writing? Let’s find out.

Ever since someone brought up how Shadowstar said Bumble's death wasn't worth getting worked up over because she was just a kittypet, that greatly lowered my opinion of her. Which is such a shame because I do love her character outside of that.

I haven't read Dotc, but I seriously wish all the clan leaders (Minus Riverstar so he can stay mysterious) were povs. Thunderstar and Skystar being the only clan founder povs was an awful choice I think, even if I've heard great things about Gray Wing.

I just drew TallShadow/ShadowStar the other day. My favorite character design I've done so far... Even though it's a bunch of dark grey and black. She was one of my favorite characters to read about in DOTC. I honestly think DOTC has become my favorite arc... Other than the first ofc. You can't beat the start of it all.

I feel very bad for TallShadow, I wish I could have been there for her or that someone was able to tell everyone else who tTallShallow really was. Also SunnyFall, I do enjoy your character of SunnyVoid. The only problem is that sometimes, I have no idea what in the name of Starclan she is saying.

Thank you for acknowledging how the information in the Secrets of the Clans field guide is what was passed down by word of mouth and not necessarily what actually happened. You know, I've always wondered about stories from the early Clans that involve SkyClan and how they would have been distorted by elders (not wanting to talk to kits about a Clan that was driven out) until the original versions were forgotten. Did ShadowStar ever get blamed for something Skystar was the one to do in real life?

I'll be honest I struggled to know if Sunnyvoid was an a.i. voice or just a really heavily edited one.. either way, it really scratches my brain in the worst possible way, I apologize if it sounds rude, but I really hope that the voice changes to sound a bit more... void-like, and less like they've been smoking illegal substances for 20 years
