I personally love Rag Company's Dry Me A River towels. There is a large oak tree in the neighbors yard, so leaves, pieces of leaves and other debris is always falling. the longer nap towels always attract those things while I'm drying. So, I stick with the waffle weave. I can see the debris easier and remove it much easier.

I will never feature products from that guy on my channel. I don't care how good they might be, I don't associate myself with people or brands I don't believe in. There is lots of history with that guy's general negative behaviour and online bullying with so many people in the detailing community that I will never give him the time of day. All he cares about is selling his products to his followers, so he can continue doing that without the help of big KZbin channels like mine.

Hack, wet your towel and let it spin dry or dry on low heat for a few minutes. Or sprit with DI water or ONR. A damp towel will work better absorbing water. Also lesson the risk of scratching the paint. Pan.. Off topic but curious if you ever put 007 up against Beadmaker?

Great video Pan. I absolutely agree with your assessment here on the Microfiber Drying Towels. I just got the Gauntlet a couple months ago and I love those towels. I also got a couple of the smaller version of the Gauntlet which works great as interior cleaning towels. Either sopping up any leftover cleaners used on the inside or just as a general purpose towel for the interior. Works great for that use. Also, after personally using almost every Microfiber specific detergent on the market over the past several years, I have found that actually a soap marketed as a Laundry Detergent works the best at cleaning them. A detergent called "CHARLIES SOAP" laundry detergent which is available in various size containers works really well at cleaning microfiber cloths. No dyes, perfumes, etc. Just pure soap and it does work great. It actually has the same consistency as many of the Microfiber detergents which is a very thin consistency close to water. And you only need a small amount just like Microfiber detergents.

Hey Pan! I’ve been using the gyeon towels for a long time and I actually find them to be much more effective when completely dry I actually use two per vehicle because when I grab that fresh one that is still 100% dry, it won’t miss a drop! Just thought I’d share that in case you hadn’t tried it! Extremely impressed with the rag company towels though!

All the towels in this test were brand new. And like all my microfiber towels, they were all washed once before the first use. As everyone should be doing. So all the towels had the same "wear" prior to the test.

As many detailing videos as I've watched I've never heard of making the towel damp before drying the car. Interesting. I will have to try that next time. I've used the Double Twistress for some time now and I'm very happy with its performance. Thanks for another great video Pan.

Yeah, that is the best trick to get them absorbent. I use The Minx as drying towels (16x16) and they work flawless and you just rung them out of water when they get full.

Well you should notice that after you wet the towel after your first few wipe downs.. the towel should be soaked obviously... and that its drying better the rest of the car.

What are the benefits to using one of these expensive drying towels vs using several cheap microfiber cloths to dry like I do now? Is it just time savings??
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 4 жыл бұрын
Efficiency, durability (better quality microfiber towels last longer than cheap ones), higher quality microfibers also means less chances of scratching or marring the paintwork.

Did you reach out to The Rag Company to ask them? They have great customer service and know their products way better than anyone else, I'm sure they have had that question many times. They will surely ask you: do you have any paint protection currently? Are your drying towels possibly loaded with spray on sealants that you use as drying aids? That reduces the towel's ability to pick up water over time. You would need a good microfiber detergent like the new P&S Rag to Riches that I have been testing. That removes old sealants that have coated the fibers and prevent the towel from doing its job. Here's a link: amzn.to/2XXd5i8
@luxenterprise7258

@@PanTheOrganizer I will cover all those bases. No sealants other than the wash and wax soap when washing cars. I had a detail Monday and did both dry and then I damped the towel but I saw a few streaks when drying.
