People pay big money for this type of top-shelf, elite-competition-athlete training material & knowledge. It says a lot about a person when they are also enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge & expertise with people, for nothing. There are a couple of other dudes with great knowledge & credentials in sport training who are doing similar things with social media content. I am super appreciative for this material.

I find the bounds are great for developing that strength in the dorsi position along with vertical resistance...this could be used in a French Contrast Training session-4 Types of Exs 1...Heavy -Strength Exercise (Maximal Load)-Back Sqt 2-Plyometric Exercise (Explosive Movement)-Hurdle Jumps or High Hops or Box Jumps 3-Sub-maximal Strength Exercise (Lighter Load)-Light Sqt Jumps 4-Assisted Plyometric Exercise (Elevated Explosive Movement)-Band Assisted Jump These are geared to vertical aspect of sprints...resisting gravity, but need to consider horizontal too...hit the hip and anterior muscles... 1-leg deadlift-heavy...followed by 2-plyo-skips for horizontal...3-maybe the ex Dane showed with the dumbell and high kick from a bent position, or a broad jump, or hop with light dbell...4-need something to go faster than normal speed...examples...running stride with band- towards its anchor using tension to speed up the move...downhill flat out easiest-for best results-Himalayan world downhill sprint...fastest -no time even for any meditation, run towards a stretched band on a door or wall, although from inertia this is acceleration but does transfer...moon or altitude running...as less density, gravity and resistance in the atmosphere...running with the wind behind you on a really windy day, even add a kite to your back-you will fly then...being pulled along by a car-no stopping at traffic lights allowed though, so find a safe stretch of road...or pulled by a sled dragged by cheetahs-just make sure they run away from you, not towards, although some may have found this to increase their sprint speed too, we don't know, as no-one lived to tell the tale... so ensure good footwear just in case...flame-proof, as you will burn some rubber either running after or away from those big cats... Varying the ht of step ups from medium to low hts can help too...as spend less time on low settings...could do hops or skips off them, or sprints... Or just use some of Danes exs with dbells to help speed short steps that can transfer into top speed and acceleration... Happy Sprinting...

Maximum speed generally wins out over acceleration at 100M - & always wins out at 200M

On the single leg bounds, as you become better/stronger at the movement you should practice a heel to hamstring cue with dorsiflexion in the ankle to have the best crossover to sprinting technique.

can anyone of yall rate my workout? so i do 10 weighted squats, 10 jump squats and 10 weighted one-leg squats. for my arms i do 2 sets of 6 bicep curls on each arm. lateral raises and dumbbell flies. then for my chest and back i do 10 push-ups, 10 decline push-ups and 10 incline push-ups. Along with some pull-ups, shadow boxing and footwork practice also im planning to get a bench-press machine soon. (Im 12 years old btw)

Good start on legs. Possible progression for legs: reduce weight by ~ 30%-50%? and increase reps to 20 - same set count. Next, after 2-4 months, add one set. After another 1-3 months, slowly increase reps up to 30. This increases Speed Endurance, the ability to take ~47 very fast strides in 100M or ~92 in 200M. Also, only 3X/week. Also, take one full week OFF at least every eight.

Hey, how would a workout split look like for a soccer player that wants to become more explosive, having to team trainings a week?

I used to play soccer...twice at the w/end...and train twice a week. We used to do a lot of sprints, even carrying people...then play 5 a-side after, so it's hard to find time for more explosiveness when you do that training in the season, if you do. So I would do bits of wts and steady state running over 2-4 miles a few times a week in between games and training. Pre-season and out of season is when you can hit your own training, although, if you are not doing plyo in your training...you could add a few sessions of that in-between training and matches too. Be careful not to overtrain during the season. I packed in as 3-4 soccer sessions and matches a week interfered with the ways in which I wished to train, I then ended up running 10x pw...which I really enjoyed...and I was much faster too, and I did my own stretching and circuit training which was almost non-existent back in the 70s and 80s in football....but I knew a few boxers, karate and judo men....and started studying running through some of the main Running mags. Perhaps, the coaches are better these days? Ideally, do your plyo and sprints when the team trains, then use other days for rest, or strength and steady state cardio/aerobic work....such as Tempo runs. Out of season, do fartleks...good luck.

And out of season add a lot of Kane's exs for strength, power, speed and explosiveness...and always do some MQTs to avoid injury...soccer players, especially the faster ones have hamstring and knee issues. The exs Dane and kneesovertoesguy do are good...such as backward walks and sleds, supported full pistol sgts body wt...hamstring sliders, nordic curls, and step downs in front of box, not too high to start with...all eccentrics...to bulletproof your hams...and avoid patella tendonitis...get a slant board and do goblet sqts, I use 2 together, so steep...so like a sissy sqt...which is another great ex for stretching and working and strengthening your quads and tendons around the knee....I also use bands above knee facing door and push knee back as I straighten it...can do on floor by pushing back at the back of knee as dorsi flex...and hamstring stretches whilst bent and pushing back into knees as straighten...all great...light quad extensions can help too-improvise using a roller and a band...

Im a multisport athlete. I play field hockey and soccer. Along with the team training and strength and conditioning. I dedicate fridays to working on speed and explosivity. I like to structure it by doing resistant band work and ⅓ of my leg day workout to start the session, then progress into plyometrics, then into loaded 6x25m sprints (30s rapid exercise then run at 100 effort) , then regular 4x50m sprints at 100 effort I've gotten alot faster and have seen a real difference since i started taking speed training seriously. I hope it helps 😊
