They are such a tasty snack - of course, we always like everything we make to be a bit 'overdone' so you wouldn't need to bake them as long.

Uhhh... I'm pretty sure we need a Melodi cooking and baking show regularly now😃 Looks so good. Funny, I made a pumpkin pie and apple pie today. 🥧 I use sweetened condensed milk instead of evaporated milk, so I can skip the brown sugar entirely. 👩🏻🍳

Oh wow Sarah!! You made two pies today? That's super industrious! How did they turn out - interesting idea to use sweetened condensed rather than the evaporated milk too... I think I'll try that sometime. Thank you so much for watching! 🌿

You could make Pumpkin bread with the left over pumpkin mix
@mywildholmАй бұрын
Unfortunately I didn't have any of the mix left over.... the 4 cups of pumpkin only made the 3 pies 🥧- I really filled them. My goodness!! Pumpkin bread sounds amazing!! 😋

Oh you got my mouth watering. I make the same recipe as you and everyone loves it. Nice pumpkin by the way. I always get two or three pumpkins and put the rest in the freezer for another day. I started baking my pumpkin so I didn't have to mess with draining it. Plus it really deepens the flavor. Our family get togethers I was always told to bring my pies. One year I tricked everyone. I made sweet potato pie that had a shot of rum in it just to be different. I never said anything to see the reactions. Everyone said "OMG what did you do to the pies, they are so much better this time". I just laughed and told them. Now I'm ask to bring the sweet potato pie. You should try one sometime and see what you think. P.S. I have the exact same Braun multipractic. I've had it so long and I'll never give it up. We got it our first xmas as a present. That was 1981. An appliance that lasts 43 years you never give up.
@mywildholmАй бұрын
Oh wow - - I had never thought to freeze the actual pumpkin? Pardon my ignorance, but I imagine you cut it all up and 'de-seeded' it first or... I have never tried sweet potato but maybe I could do that for Ryan one day. Thank you again for watching. We appreciate your support so much! 🌿

I'm wondering IF you can just make the inside of the pumpkin by scraping out the seeds and add all the ingredients for pumpkin pie inside of it, and Wrap it in foil and throw it in and outdoor fire with the pumpkin lid on it, skip the the pie shell
@mywildholmАй бұрын
That is an interesting idea... but how would we get the pumpkin mixture all mixed up? If we scooped out that actually meat from the pumpkin - it would be a thing little peel that wouldn't be able to hold the pumpkin mix... I kinda like the pie shelll... was just never crazy over the pumpkin. This recipe changed all that 😋
@shelleymarshall51929 күн бұрын
