I have had this exact cart for 7-8 years. Its bombproof and foolproof! After a lot of sad breakdowns with lesser canoe and kayak carts I have never been unhappy I spent the money on this cart. We got a lake place...3 hours away. I'm setting up everything to keep a separate boat at that end for fishing... and I am gonna get this cart again to keep there. You are right... it's easily the best design ever.

Thank you! I stewed over which kayak cart to get for my new Crescent CK1 and I just found it. Ingenious. Can’t wait to try it out. Love that you can put it on while the kayak is still in the water then roll it up the boat ramp.

I bought one of these from the first video you made on it years ago... Great cart other than when I have to go through high grass to get to those hard to fish rock quarys... I don't know why they aren't more popular... Other than that gtg cart. Love the slow motion reply btw. lmao

Yeah, mine does NOT let my kayak track correctly! My kayak always wants to lean sideways as soon as I go about 10 feet. I'm not happy with it at all and after this last trip dealing with a long, steep launching ramp, I'll build a new one that keeps the kayak upright!

Would somebody please show this cart being used on one of the heavier wider fishing kayaks like a Native or Hobie? I hear end slip kayak carts don't work well on heavy kayaks. Any thoughts?

Great video! I have an ascend 133x @125lbs no gear. But use a Bow mount trolling motor and two size 24 marine batteries and gear. In your opinion will the weight hold up?

Yes. This kayak cart has a strong steel axle. Doesn't sound like most of the weight is in the stern so I think it would work just fine.

How do you take it down to fit in your kayaks? Think it’ll work for a 36” wide inflatable?
@myadventureoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Honestly. I never take it along with me. However if you want to, you can take out the pins in the wheels and it will disassemble and you can take it with you.
@bradleytucker79933 жыл бұрын
Just curious about the width, you mentioned that you thought it would go up to 32”, is that indeed the widest it will go? I’m picking up my 3 Waters Big Fish 108 pedal drive kayak today, which is 38” wide & I’m looking for a good, heavy duty cart
@myadventureoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The Trail Trekker can expand to 40". It will work. Most yaks start narrow and then get wider so you shouldn't have any problem. paddlelogic.com/trailtreker-kayak-carts.html

Pro's---easy to use, no straps, less moving parts. lightweight. Cons---Limited to use on the end third of cart. You'll be carrying a lot more weight that a dolly type. Not portable or stowable in kayak compartments.

I made a version of this and it worked well, wish I had this one a long time ago. I like the rope on it, Does it handle rough terrain?
@myadventureoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
It will handle small rocks and logs that might be in your path. If it's too rough, I usually let one of my Sherpa's take it down to the water.

The adjustable model: difficult to attach to fishing yak. Plastic lock on adjustment string, doesn't. Very sloppy assembly from factory, many burrs on pvc left from manufacturing. I believe these are made in some kid's garage. Unit is way over priced. 100$ is fair retail.

Dude...you missed your opportunity to be a real KZbinr! You should have just done another super slo-mo clip for each kayak that you have. that would have stretched it out to 17 minute, for SURE! But seriously, I gotta check these out. We have a trip in mind that we are going to need a kayak cart and this one might fit the bill.
@myadventureoutdoors4 жыл бұрын

Adventure Outdoors We have a popular hiking spot in our area that people come from all over the Southeast to hike. It is a waterfall called “The Walls of Jericho.” We have threatened to get carts and hike our kayaks down to the creek, then float out. We aren’t even sure if it is possible, the water levels would have to be JUST right. It would probably be a really rough trip on a kayak cart.

That's some shitty slomo...was that taken at 10 frames per second? Cool wheels...only problem is...it does not break down and fit inside boat. Great for short drag where you can carry is back to vehicle. Real men carry a kayak on their shoulder, just so's yer aware.
@myadventureoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Better than your crappy bokeh. If you didn't spend so much time thinking about how to comment something snarky and actually listen to my words, you would have heard that this cart does breakdown and fit inside your rainbow sticker kayaks. I don't really need it, I have Sherpa's that carry my stuff back to my manly vehicles.
@NoTrail4 жыл бұрын
@@myadventureoutdoors It would take up all the storage room...so I'll just carry mine, if okay wif you. By the way...I have two grown sons...one of which is gay...so enough with the rainbow crap. You prolly do have sherpas...Mexican style sherpas...but I hear they're better at low altitudes than Tibetan and Nepalese style sherpas....you bastard. I did skip past the ending if that's where the minor breakdown was described. I checked out the website and that's still way too damned big to stow.
