So many of the Keto breads are gluten-free, but so few people have celiac. Using gluten and yeast makes a much more bread-y loaf and texture. I can't wait to make this bread!

I looked up the recipe because I have eaten 2 loaves of Deidre's bread this week 😆 You are right !!! It is the best !!! Smells like bread baking & tastes like bread when I eat it 😊

Sharon Ayers I tried deidre’s bread today & loved it. How did u find this one differed? I feel like 2 packs of yeast seems overpowering. But I may try this version!

I made the bread today after watching your video and it turned out fabulous. I had two failed attempts prior. Any chance you could now put up a video on how to make the rolls from the same dough please. I’m a visual learner. Thanks.

Thanks so much Megan, I didn’t know about the salt not being able to be added near the yeast, waiting for ingredients to become available in i herb and I’m definitely trying again. This video has helped heaps xx

If it falls a little, add 1 teaspoon baking powder to the dry ingredients 😊

I made this bread today. Added 1 t baking powder. Instead of the flaxseed, I used Almond flour. I used 1 t. real Maple Syrup as the sugar for the yeast to eat. Initially, I forgot to add the butter, so squirted a little MTC oil in the mixer while the dough was kneading. I used my Bosch mixer with the dough hook for 7 minutes. Proofed in the oven at 200 degrees, 1 hour. Put a jar of boiling water in oven while proofing. The bread came out beautiful and delicious! Thank you so much for the recipe.

Hi, am I missing something!??? I've been to your website for the recipe, I can find the ingredients but no amounts for the ingredients.

Thanks for this recipe! Ok so... I'm having some problems with it. The end result is still great, BUT I've made this twice and both times, the loaf falls while it's baking. I let follow the directions to a T except I use a hand-mixer w/ dough attachments. That's the only difference. Like I said, it still comes out fabulous and I think this is one of the closest 'normal' bread recipes I've tried. Just curious why it keeps deflating though.

It sounds like you have over-kneaded or over-proofed. Just like normal bread that is the reason for deflated bread.

Exactly What happened to mine today! Was nice but more like a sourdough/ Turkish bread cause as soon as I turned the oven on after proofing it deflated :( I definitely didn't over kneed as once I mixed it I kneeded half as much as Megan did and then stretched and rolled and proofed. I did Proof mine in the oven so Maybe it was over proofed? I'll give it another try just don't want to waste the expensive ingredients LOL Wish I could use my bread maker but the mixing arm is missing lol I Never stuffed up normal bread before

Hi Megan! Love your videos! Question: can I use this dough for pizzas and maybe doughnuts (deep fried)? Would any tweaking be necessary?

Could you add pumpkin and sunflower seeds to make this a little more 'Vogels' without interfering with the recipe too much? I love making Atkins bread because of the texture but I'm getting a Thermomix TM6 soon and want to be able to use it to make my own bread without having to rely on a boxed one :-)

Hi Marianne, yes you can add any seeds you wish. This recipe is pretty versatile.

I am baking mine. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It looks and smells like the real carb bread... I have yet to taste it once it’s done. Separately, if I want to make them into buns, do I let it rise first or immediately roll them and let them rise in the shape of buns? Thanks

Hi, please tell me what the inulin does and is it necessary to this bread? Thanks.

The inulin is food for the yeast so you can use it instead of sugar to feed the yeast and get it to make the bubbles to rise your bread. Inulin is a prebiotic, which means yeast and bacteria can eat it, it is also slightly sweet and has a lot of volume without a lot of calories. This means it can be used to bulk out sugar replacements without adding many calories or carbs. Swerve is a blend of Erythritol and inulin for example.

Sugar? I am a little confused about use sugar in a keto recipe 🙉

you only use sugar if you don't have inulin. The yeast needs something to eat in order to make the bubbles to rise the bread. Yeast can eat inulin or regular table sugar.
