I love my low pro also, but made a similar adjustment to get my transducer out in front of the trolling motor. Sure helps clear up any interference when using a zero degree livescope mount. Sure wish low pro would consider making a design alteration. I made the suggestion to the owner of low pro but didn’t receive any response. Give him a shout if you have any influence, I’d consider upgrading. Keep making great videos!

Very nice video! I have really enjoyed your videos. I need your advice on something. Should I get the Garmin sv 10inch fish finder to talk with my Garmin 1022 live scope in the front. Or should I get the Helix 10 for my fish finder. I am running the Minn Kota Ultrex so I don't have to have them communicating but it would be nice to have. What is your opinion?
@HookCityTV2 жыл бұрын
I have my ultrex and helix 10 networked and barely use it, if ever. With that being said. I love to use the side imaging on my helix. I think either way you will have a setup more than capable of serving your fishing needs. Id say it would come down to price and preference

Nice presentation. I have a new Garmin 93sv on the way for the bow and will come with the GT54 Transducer, I will be running livescope through the same screen. Is it possible to mount both the GT54 transducer and the livescope transducer on the same pole ? Is there a mount for this ? I DO NOT want to run the GT54 ducer on the trolling motor. Thanks !
@HookCityTV2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it can be done but I think the safest mounting position for the GT54 is under the trolling motor. Curious why you want both livescope and gt54 on the same pole?
@richpro71222 жыл бұрын
@@HookCityTV I would prefer to have the GT54 on the pole rather than the trolling motor. The reason is I have a Minkota Riptide ST. The shaft slides in and out of a block so its not that easy to secure the transducer cable in such a way to keep it from getting damaged when in spotlock...that crazy trolling motor head sometimes acts as though it is possessed the way it spins all the way around multiple times wrapping the cable around the shaft. I have had trouble with a previous ducer on the motor eventually putting cuts the cable.
@richpro71222 жыл бұрын
I found a fix for the transducer cable issue with my Minnkota Riptide St trolling motor. I now have the GT54 transducer mounted on my motor and used this method and it works great !! Maybe others will find this useful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKfUl56Bd9yBeNU

How far out from the trolling motor shaft does the mount put the pole & transducer & how high is the transducer above the trolling motor head? Thanks

I keep the trolling motor about 6 inches away from the transducer and it is just far enough from the shaft to clear when turning the transducer 360

What size boat do you recommend? Any certain style for smoothness on the water or maneuverability. Pro's and Cons. Looking to get a boat this year but wanting some advice on what to look for in a good all around boat.
@Aaron.Davis563 жыл бұрын
I would recommend a CC in the 20 ft range with a head and T-Top. Easy to trailer if you want to get salty too. If you can swing a four stroke and Minn Kota w/Spot Lock you're golden. Humminbird units work with the I-Pilot feature
@HookCityTV3 жыл бұрын
I'm a deep v aluminum fan. Safety was my main concern and most deep v boats deliver that. Front live well, plenty of space and a smooth ride in big choppy water. My second choice would be another fiberglass bass boat. I wouldn't want to go under 18ft I'm length on either style boat and prefer 20+ ft on the bass boat
