I'd say that's only two actual noblestalk uses. If you give it to Baelen then in act 3 the shop will be run by him, and he doesn't sell any noblestalk. If you give it to Derryth, she'll run the shop in act 3 and she sells 2-3 noblestalk every long rest and you can still eat it as the durge and get some memories. The trick is very good though. You can trick Shadowheart into getting placebo effected by air.

I kill Baelen (after I get the gloves from Derryth) so only Derryth is in Act 3.

There is another noblestalk in the lower city in Baldur's Gate. In the Taylor's cellar, in a box. Enter the house, turn right and next to the stairs, there is a door in the ground. In the cellar you can find the noblestalk next to the laboratory equipment.

Mushroom pieces like that and the one in withers lab in the epilogue however can not restore memory

Actually give Noblestalk to Baelen will not end as bad as it sounded. I did it and then found Derryth as a 'security' in Elf Song tavern thanking me as it finally made her to leave Baelen and live her own live.

The time I gave Baelen the noblestalk I found Derryth in the Elf Song Tavern, but that was after I'd accidentally done something to turn the whole tavern hostile. I didn't realize it was her until a moment after launching the arrow that killed her.

Literally anything that removes poison works. Lol thulla is a waste of the noblestalk I just combined the gloves that remove poison everytime you heal and the necklace that grants healing word…both conveniently sold by Derryth.

You can heal Thulla with a regular antidote as well. Also, you can get more noblestalk in act 3. I found a random piece of noblestalk lying somewhere. You can also buy two from Derryth if you gave her one in act one. HOWEVER, last time I tried, there was a bug that would not let me actually have Shadowheart eat the act 3 noblestalk, but Dark Urge can still eat it. Therefore, theoretically you can do all of them still by act 3, if you follow the video to give it to Shadowheart, then Derryth, then Baelen. Heal Thulla. Then get the act 3 noblestalk and eat it as Dark Urge.

@@zoefarr2600 I'm not sure what happens because I haven't tried it, but if you do as I suggest (give to Shadowheart, then Derryth, then Baelen), and Baelen ends up running the shop, you probably will not be able to buy another to eat as Dark Urge because Baelen does not normally sell noblestalk, or much of anything for that matter. The second noblestalk is in in the tailor's basment in act 3 (according to another comment.) I don't think it shows up if you hold alt, so you have to be careful to pick up everything to find it.

If you just douse the fore next to the backpack, then the bibberbang won't burn even if it releases its spres. No burning means the noblestalk won't burn and the spres don't affect it, on the firestorm does. You can reach the torch using any strong character to jump upon the ledge to the left of the cavern then just jump down next to the torch.

Also, in turn based mode the bibberbang take a while to blow up. If you get close and pass turn they'll bloat in the next round, and then you have a round to get away. If you give an antidote to the gnome she gives you boots that give dash as a bonus action and with both dashes it's very easy to manouver through the bibberbang.

You can also throw a bottle of water on the torch or use the create water spell

I found a clean way to take noblestalk without glut. First my sorcerer cast a distant-metamagicked ray of frost to take out the flame. Then a mage hand spell (cast near the bag) threw the bag to Baelan. Then I just shot all of the bibberbangs from a distance with my crossbow.

or you throw a water bottle on the torch. Then mage hand the bag.

Early game Misty Step scrolls harder to come by and you can keep Baelen's misty step scroll by: 1) Use Glut to pickup the burning torch by the backpack (This prevents bibberbangs from exploding). 2) Use the drag trick to move the backpack to safety and pickup the scroll. 2) use Glut to move/get the noblestalk. 3) throw a couple of healing potions at Baelen. 4) pop a few bibberbangs to make clouds.(won't explode if you picked up torch) He will start taking damage and run to safety. The healing potions should give him enough health to not die.

Needlessly complicated and risky, just give him a scroll. They aren't really hard to come by, you can pickpocket Volo at camp any time without consequence. Just use enhanced leap from the ring she sells on a str character and jump to the bag and torch in turn based mode and pick them both up, then jump to him next turn and give him the scroll then exit turn based mode so he can teleport to safety and talk to him so he leaves. Then with your remaining enhanced leap turns jump to grab the noble stalk and that nature ring in the skeleton.

For #1, I don't know of any way to straight-up pickup things with Glut? You can use him to drag that torch into the furthest away corner, but that's it. Unless you mean dragging it all the way back to your player, which I would have figured would ignite latent fumes in the noblestalks or something lol

@@MycroftJr I can confirm it works as of patch 6 hotfix 24. I don't know if glut can pickup anything other than the torch. Torch is kind of unique in that it auto-equips. So glut ends up with torch AND punch. You can see this strat in action on zalzeera's solo warlock act1 part1 @around 1h57m. (it's where I learned it). It's actually super safe once you learn it. Did it on my last 3 solo honor runs.

Lol I just ninja’d my way to grab everything and stole his backpack, the noblestalk and the buried chest without Baelen noticing and just left him there with my athlete feat thief with enhanced leap…I just left the guy there.

I never got my noble stock...it blew up when i shot at the mushrooms...i was so disappointed. Next time I will get it and let Baelyn die...there is a white cat in act 3 that needs a home, his wife will take care of it if Baelyn died.

The mushroom lady sells gloves that cure poison if you heal someone so you shouldn't ever give the dwarf the noblestalk

There’s a hundred ways to cure that dwarf girl, just an antidote for 30 gold can work (which derryth sells) or a level 2 spell slot for a cleric

Just use ray of frost or any spell that uses water or ice and it gets nuked torch so to speak

How did you have Glut walk on his own? As he cannot be ungrouped from the party as far as I know.

He doesn't need to be ungrouped. Just select him and move him separately from the other party members, same as a familiar or Mage Hand
