I've seen some people asking why throws aren't included, and frankly, it's because they're extremely one-dimensional to analyze, it's purely "keeps you really close" or "sends you really far." Similar logic for getup/ledge attacks, they all do basically the same thing. That aside, here's a list of a few moves I expect to pop up in the comments, and why they weren't chosen: *Ganondorf's/Bowser's Forward Smash:* The best "you screwed up" moves in the game, but the ones chosen have utility beyond just being hard reads. *Mario's Up Smash:* Too small, slow characters would struggle to use it. Also competes directly with Mr. Game and Watch, who I feel has the better version of this move concept. *Ganondorf's Down Air:* Almost entirely outclassed by Zelda. There's no way this is a top 3 dair but I know full well it's gonna pop up, Ganon always does. *Meta Knight's Forward Smash:* It's cool that this is safe enough to use as a neutral tool, but ultimately a bit too slow. *Wario's Neutral Air:* Tuned around his air speed. *Greninja's Dash Attack:* Tuned around his jump height. *Palutena's Back Air:* The invincibility is awesome, but apart from that its power, range, and end lag are nothing exceptional. *Snake's Dash Attack:* Low killpower and combo potential, this move is a great lunge in neutral but has less overall utility than the selections I went with. Of course, feel free to make your case, that's the fun of a video like this, but I'm less likely to respond to comments about these particular moves. Thanks again! I'd argue that Wii Fit's deep breathing is the best down b, since while waft is useful in any moveset, it could be held back by characters who die quickly without good mobility, such as Kirby, since you wouldn't often find yourself living long enough to use it, and when you did, it would be harder to find those situations, however Deep Breathing, is useful as long as you can, quite literally find space to breath, with it's absurd power boost in addition to a speed boost and, I think a weight boost? I know it did that in smash 4 but not too sure, all of which very few characters could complain about, I'd argue it's the better down b overall. That and could you imagine this thing in addition to Monado arts? Jesus.

So to recap, by mashing all of these moves up into a single character, we'd get... - A combo-starting jab that chains into nair that chains into uair that chains into itself - A combo-starting utilt that also chains into nair and uair - A dtilt that's basically a near-guaranteed kill confirm into damn near anything - An ftilt that out-ranges the vast majority of other neutral tools in the game and eats projectiles for breakfast - A dash attack that can either kill on sweetspot OR chain into something like fair that also kills - A super-armored fsmash that breaks shields AND can kill off of the sides or the top - A dsmash that both kills early and is difficult to punish out of shield, which nicely sets up for ftilt or fspecial depending on the situation - A usmash that ledge traps, anti-airs, and can hit from below every platform in competitive smash - A nair that combos into itself, fair, uair, and fspecial - A fair that combos into itself, kills, and pressures shields - A bair with sword-like range and godzilla-level kill power - A dair that aids in recovery, can be used near-instantly out of shield, and can rack up approx. 100% damage in five uses - An fspecial that reaches almost halfway across the stage, hits like a smash attack, is completely invincible, and can likely be chained into from the aforementioned dtilt or fair - A dspecial that every 100-or-so seconds allows the user to generate a giant spherical hitbox that kills at 60% and can be very easily comboed into from anything - An invincible uspecial that completely bypasses shield pressure, grants the user slow-fall, and can still be acted out of (which, combined with the aforementioned aerials, could allow the user to effectively *steal* the advantage state) - And, to top it all off, their neutral special lets them briefly stack anything from mobility boosts (ensuring that there is no way for the enemy to retreat) to defensive boosts (thus allowing the user to effectively break the enemy's combos) to offensive boosts (making dtilt-nair-uair combos even more damaging or making dspecial kill at sub-50% damage). Since we're cherry-picking the best attributes from each character... just imagine this hypothetical character with Marth's walking speed, Captain Falcon's running speed, Jigglypuff's low falling speed but Fox's high fastfalling speed, Yoshi's air speed with Wario's air control, Falco's jump height, Luigi's grabs and zair, Ness's side throws, Mewtwo's up throw, Luigi's down throw, and Bowser's incredible weight. Oh, and maybe a triple-jump, just to make this character as busted as possible. We'd have a lightning-fast nigh-unkillable juggernaut armed with one of the best zoning tools in the game, a get-out-of-shield-pressure-free card, two uninterruptible moves that cover large areas in front of them, a huge number of lightning-fast combo moves (a few of which transition into kill moves), the ability to chase enemies into the farthest reaches of the map while still able to effortlessly recover, the ability to semi-regularly kill at below 50%, and the ability to turn the enemy's shield into a death sentence either by breaking it or by punishing it with the best throws in the game. I can't speak for everyone, but personally, that sounds *fun as hell.* I bet they'd still have an unfavorable match-up against Brawl Meta Knight, though.

@Matias zzstu Sanabria I wanted to include Cargo Hold *SO* badly, but I wasn't sure whether or not stuff like Cargo Hold or Tough Guy could be considered non-standard character-specific abilities in the same way as the Shoto's command specials or Joker's rebellion gauge. In the event that Cargo Hold *and* Tough Guy are fair game, then the hypothetical Ultimate Fighter (tm) would now be able to shrug off jabs and weak projectiles while approaching with any of their monstrous combo starters, as well as having an EXTREMELY safe way to score kills at 0% by using Cargo Throw after Monado Jump or Monado Speed to carry the opponent very close to the blast lines and chucking the foe into one without crossing it themselves.

Wild Asian Dude while there is a fair share of duds in the neutral b area, there are many that are amazing. Most give very good projectiles for neutral/edgeguarding. Example: starfox crew, Belmonts, palutena, mewtwo, samus and edgy samus, lucario, the pits, duck hunt etc. some are spamable like Zelda and some have killpower like hero’s or mii brawler. So to sum it up, there are definitely duds like puff or little macs, but the usefulness on basically every other character out matches the duds. This took awhile to write, but I gotta defend ma boi kirb.

Ridley main here: • NAir and DSmash are objectively insane. NAir is alone an insane edge guarding tool, neutral tool and OOS option and DSmash alone is Ridley's ledge trapping, punishing HARD if you mess up the way you get on stage and even 2 framing with the right timing • His DownB is useless. I use him since like Day 3 and I literally connected the move on someone like 7 times, 1 of which it actually changed the result of a game. • Personally I think he's a solid Mid Tier, since he's got a very wonderful kit, but he becomes a bit too predictable in long sets, while ALSO having the biggest hurtbox in the game

Walk: Marth/Lucina Run: Inkling Air Speed: Yoshi Midair Jump could be either Meta Knight or Yoshi, I’d say Meta Knight because G&W Up B works similarly to flutter jump already, and all the extra jumps give greater offstage options. Zair/Grab: Luigi, maybe Shield: Yoshi Fall Speed: Jigglypuff Fast Fall Speed: Fox Crouch: G&W Down Taunt: Luigi Weight: Bowser Back Throw: Ness? Maybe Incinaroar? Forward Throw: DK Up Throw: Charizard Down throw is hard to decide, because there are many different knockback angles, and it’s hard to know what would be best. Maybe Snake? Here are my predictions before watching this Jab: I would say Inkling but the rules say this blank slate character would have no ink sooooo... probably Roy/Chrom since it's relatively safe, starts combos as low percents, and kill confirms at higher percents Ftilt: The Belmonts no questions asked Dtilt: I'd say either Falco or Diddy since they have the best combination of safety, kill potential, and neutral functionality Utilt: Falco's got some good ass normals doesn't he? Combo starter, good hitbox, kill confirms, what more could you want? DashAtk: Thinking about what a good dash attack is supposed to do (be a reliable gap closer that either starts combos or does high damage) the best pick for this is someone like either Samus or Ganon Nair: Palutena and Ike both have nairs that are disjointed, start combos, and lead to kills. It's just do you want to kill earlier with Ike, or edgeguard like a goddess with Palu? Fair: I can finally talk about my main, Incineroar. His fair is fast, relatively safe, combos well at early percents, and kills at later percents, incredibly useful. Bair: Joker's bair is the closest think I would consider to a "God button," this thing is a one button game winner. It's safe on shield, comes out incredibly fast as frame 9, combos into itself and other things, and is possibly the best edgeguarding tool in the game, and that's not even taking Arsene into account. Uair: I initially wanted to put Incineroar here too, but then I remembered a whole other beast. Ivysaur and his bud normals are quick, juggle well, combo at low percents, and kill at high ones, with the most insane hitboxes ever. Dair: Those bud normals from Ivysaur man, take everything I just said about Ivy's up air, and add a spike to the sweet spot and there you go. Neutral Special: Pac-Man's access to a wide variety of projectiles that are all useful in their own ways make it the obvious choice for me, with a projectile for every situation. Side Special: Snake's nikita missile is everything you could ever want and more in an edgetrapping/edgeguarding tool. Down Special: Diddy Kong's banana peel is easily the best projectile a character can manually create (other than Peach's stitch face turnips and Bob-ombs but since those are rng reliant I'm reluctant to give the spot to them) as the banana peel can create trap setups, gives you amazing combo followups, is an amazing pressure tool, and overall is incredibly useful in most situations. Up Special: Pikachu's quick attack is a mobility tool, combo starter, one of the best recoveries in the game, and an amazing pressure tool all in one, what more could you want? And that's my list, I'll edit this after watching with my response to the video. Edit: I guess I was in a bit too projectile heavy mindset. Also I can't believe I forgot Monados! I also wasn't sure if Wonderwing's resource system would count as a character specific thing so I didn't even consider it. I'll be happy with most of my predictions making honorable mentions. My excuse is that I wrote this on the toilet lmao. Edit 2: Wow I feel like an idiot, I forgot Smash attacks.

She'd also get an aura deficit along with it meaning her multiplier can go even lower than 0% aura at even stocks if she's up in stock count. Joker's heavier than Lucario. -Up smash is a garbo move and will never KO early unless it's on a top platform or vs a really light character. Fully charged at max aura it's not Koing earlier than almost any fully charged up smash in the game and is definitely weaker than many. Fsmash isn't KOing at 15 unless you: Fully charge it at max aura (190), are near the side blastzone, small side blastzones, they're a really light character, or they Di poorly. If you get stock deficit aura boost it can get slightly stronger but the highest the multiplier can reach is like 1.88. Meshima and the Lucario discord can confirm this. -Aura sphere doesn't hit up to 20 times and even if it did it's barely doing damage. Aura sphere confirms are as real as Mewtwo shadow ball, Samus charge shot, etc confirms. The hitbox shrinks at max charge, hits every 5 frames so depending on the timing they have more time to get out, any move will beat it unless you're near max aura with Asc 80% charged or more under 100% charged, each hit sends them outward and it can be SDI'd, depending on which part of it hits them or how far they're inside the sphere determines what it can "confirm" into, the confirms he gets off of it are exaggerated. His tilts out of asc don't confirm into other things unless you get late hit up tilt and they Di in, force palm grab and up smash only works during the first few hits if they're point blank range inside the sphere otherwise only the 2nd hit'll connect or they'll airdodge out and punish you (plus fpg can whiff point blank anyway due to body collisions). Asc to bair only works at really high %s, if you input it too early you'll get a nair so you have to delay aerial inputs by 4 frames, only works at/near the edge of the sphere so they can get out, and is also really dependent on stage positioning to be able to KO. The earliest I've bair by itself is able to KO Richter at the edge of Battlefield at max aura is 50% I'm pretty sure. -Dair is not active frames 2, it's frame 4. Oos it would be frame 7 but the hitbox is very small so if they spaced/drifted away not always holding forward then you're probably not gonna punish them with it. It can 2 frame but it's not an amazing 2 frame option and has few active frames.

Although wario’s waft is a good move you have to remember that it has a charge time which severely limits its usage. Personally I would go with Incineroars down b. It can absorb practically any attack, damages enemies slightly when people are nearby, and powers up the next move, making every move just as broken as warios waft without the wait time.

Mega Man Leaf Shield is nearly one of the best “get off me” moves, but a solid case could be made for Incineroar, as Revenge comes out frame 3 or something.

Forgot to mention that Revenge is frame 3, which is incredibly fast for a counter. That being said, on characters who aren’t as susceptible to being camped as Incineroar, Revenge might take a bit of a back seat as counters generally do, since despite its ridiculous startup it is still pretty high commitment. In a tournament setting, I’d say waft is slightly more useful because it pressures people into rushing in before it’s active.

Revenge was buffed for a damn good reason, it’s a great move but not as easy to use as it looks, also you need to be able to land a strong move to actually get something like Waft. Plus you get it grabbed/camped out of you, so getting too antsy will get you to fail to get the effect, and you can’t get a weak move to confirm into a Revenge move like Waft.

@@MrMockRock Speaking of Pac Man, I'm curious as to your placement of Fire Hydrant for Down Specials. makes landing easier, escapes ladder combos, has decent kill power and damage, can probably combo at low percents depending on the character, and can function as a projectile with many possible trajectories depending on the knockback angle of the move it gets hit with. it would allow any character to properly camp whenever they feel like it, and the water messes with combos and again functions in setups.

For sheer kill power, Incin's back throw beats out Ness's, but I suppose the early percentages favor Ness.
