I use the Clever brewer every day for my coffee brewing. I use the Workshop Coffee technique popularized by James Hoffmann. I use a #4 filter, 16 to 1 ratio, pour in hot water (205 F), add ground coffee and stir to make sure all grounds are wet, after 2 minutes, stir to break the crust, then drain into mug. Excellent cup coffee every time. Single origin specialty coffees work well and probably need to be ground a little finer than normal. Drain down shouldn’t take more than a minute. This method reduces the opportunity for a stall during drain down.

Sounds like a great technique!

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact kzbin.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

I've used this method for more than 40 years. This scientist biught a Chemex which lasted almost 20. Nuce to see others embracing the simple but calculated ritual of pour overs.

I make pour over coffee with an old Melita plastic cone filter holder that is probably 45 years old. It makes delicious coffee lol.

Great video - thank you. I use the Bodum French press and Bodum pour over with mesh filter. I prefer dirty, oily coffee. Each of those brewers are perfect for that. My ratio is generally 20g coffee : 250g water.

I use my Clever Dripper as both immersion and pour over .. just place the dripper on a cup and do the pour over technique you most familiar with ..

Great video my friend!!! So easy explained! I think a V60 is very versatile too. Try speeding dripping up your water without too much stop and you will get a Soft Acid Delicious Coffee. Try a slow pour water and you will get a Strong Bitter Delicious Coffee too! Give a balanced water dripping and you will get Best of Both World Coffee Tasting! La Taza PeRfecta!

Do all the brewers make similar tasting coffee or is there any difference in them? Also, is the Clever Dripper pour over or immersion (or both)?
@Manatti0610 ай бұрын
Anybody ans? Good question on if the different makers taste different. Clever dripper is not quite imersion because coffee drains once glass is set on a top.

For some reason, I never seem to do things like anyone else. I always brew by pour over, but I do a liter at a time into my glass vacuum carafe, which will stay hot and fresh until empty. I only have a plastic #4 Mellitta cone, and would prefer glass in the #4 size. Do you have a source for that? So far all I've found is a ceramic #2, which is a bit small for a liter's worth of grounds, and the outlet is too small to allow me any drip rate control. Thanks for all that you do for the coffee brewing community!!

Can't think of any glass #4 brewers off the top of my head, but will let you know! Plastic is my go-to anyways as it retains heat much better and will never break on me.

Plastic, hot water, equals chemicals I don't know about. Probably a nonissue. I'll use my Mellitta till I find one. Thanks.

Great questions! There will be somewhat of a difference between each brewer, which you can read more about on our website. The clever dripper is a bit of a hybrid depending on how you use it, it's a great brewer to experiment with!
