The BEST reverb under $40 - Mosky Spring Reverb - No Talk, All Tone

This is largely disputed as the best reverb pedal on a budget. I think it is more than just a one trick pony too, using the dwell control you can get some pretty amazing tones. We explore all the settings on this inexpensive reverb pedal and unlock all of the tones this has to offer. Massive thanks to DaveRage and Simon at JSA for convincing me to get this one.

@@gabrielrangel956There are no analog reverbs, save real springs, plates, rooms etc and a few early attempts at BBD reverb pedals that could be considered analog I suppose. The were mostly just bad sounding fixed time bbd delays though.

Kudos on jumping into the market and really making a difference. You obviously aren't a noob, you have a good ear, and are not ashamed of promoting cheap gear if it really works. I am so sick of people pushing brand names only when a lot of bedroom players are really looking for a bang for their buck. Thanks for the demos. I just got this little pedal and it is really surprisingly good, despite being a clone.

This mini verb is one of those budget staples that just offers such incredible tone for an amazing price. It's a real winner for me 👍

@@BudgetPedalChap Same here. What changed my mind were two of the best players in my town taking out cheap pedals and guitars on the road and keeping their expensive stuff at home. It blew me away that you could sound great with Harley Bentons, SS Peaveys, Korgs, Joyos, etc, you just need to listen with your ears and not eyes. I really can't wrap my head around this reverb being so cheap, but I guess cloning is cheaper :) What's your favorite budget fuzz I have to ask ? :)

@@filipkostovski873 it's exactly that, when you start listening with only your ears then you can get lots more choice for much less money. Budget fuzz cab be hit or miss, but a good place to start is with the behringer super fuzz or the TC rusty fuzz. I've got demos for both on the channel 👍

Another great demo BPC! Love reverb but not really a spring reverb man myself, that being said this does sound pretty great and has a lot of versatility. I am a sucker for that shimmer... Also love the echoes of Oh Well pt 2, beautiful playing mate as ever!

Any power supply you use to power guitar pedals will work, it's a standard 9v input and does draw a great deal of power. Like with all mini pedals, there isn't space for a 9v battery so if you plan on using one, you'll need a battery clip externally 👍

Its got that belton pre-delay click/clack. But so what, for $27 you couldn't buy the parts and the belton brick to put this together.

@@flipmatt200 it's got a pretty decent dwell time on it, so if you're after basic big reverb tones then it'll do that. Otherwise, there are probably more suitable options.
