This is a PHENOMENAL pour. I couldnt find any 8 year old rye bottles last year. I cracked my 9 year, and went back to the store the next day to buy two more bottles. This and JD single barrel barrel proof rye are hard to beat for the money.

I thought I liked the 8 year more on the first pour, but I came back to it a week later and it opened up beautifully. Now I give the nod to the 9 year.

Missed the 8 but loved the cask strength. The double oak was just okay I will need to revisit that one it did get better towards the end of the bottle so maybe I’ve grown with my palate. I’ll certainly look for this bottle. Enjoy!!🥃🥃🥃
