I've got a GTR which comes factory with AMG's implementation of this system (titanium from the secondary cats back, no mufflers when valves are open), and this sounds noticeably less "thumpy" compared to mine, more like an x-pipe configuration. The larger the cross section of the h-pipe, the more smooth the tone gets as the cylinder banks' pulses blend, and you end up losing a bit of the signature AMG rumble down low. This is why G Wagen's have that distinctive rumble down low, even compared to other AMG's with the same engine, there's no crossover to smooth the pulses before the side pipes. Just an observation.

Are you guys located in North Carolina? I have a 1000hp GTS with your exhaust, love the sound, but nobody can figure out why the valves are not working. Light shows opening and closing, computer shows no errors...but they are not closing. Would be nice to quiet her down around the police or my neighborhood. *never worked from day one of install.
