The BEST STROOPWAFEL and Amsterdam CANAL CRUISE!

One of the top things to do in the Netherlands is to take an Amsterdam canal cruise. You have dozens of choices for your canal cruise in Amsterdam, but we recommend finding a smaller operator, or a local, to take you out for your cruise around town. Extra points if they serve you Stroopwafel! We booked our canal cruise via AirBnB Experiences with Captain Dave Amsterdam. We booked the morning canal cruise and it couldn't have been better. After the morning canal cruise, Ashley was dying to get a fresh, authentic STROOPWAFEL. Amsterdam stroopwafels are famous around the world, but at the Albert Cuyp Market you can get a hot, fresh stroopwafel from the ORIGINAL stand. These stroopwafel are huge and warm and GOOEY! The market was worth it just for that treat.
This was an ideal day and some of the best things to do in Amsterdam - Ashley even wanted to do the canal cruise again the next day! So, when you plan your trip to Amsterdam be sure to add these to your list. That boat was really nice! The little pads they had inside actually have electric seat warmers too. I mean, you can peruse the flower market if you're near it, but definitely don't miss the Original Stroopwafels!

Love the honesty. Tell it like it is. Gonna have to give stoopwaffles another try and will heat them up a bit. Gotta say Amsterdam isn't one of my favorites.

We’re all for sharing the good and not so good experiences. Helps manage expectations. Oh yeah, stroopwafels are best freshly made or heated up a bit. We’ve had some that were not good and plenty that were delicious. We all have those destinations that we didn’t enjoy so much. Sometimes it’s the destination that’s lacking, and sometimes it may be due to something outside the place itself (weather timing, illness, stress, etc). Curious, any particular things about Amsterdam you didn’t enjoy or just the vibes of the city as a whole?
