I can't believe you just mentioned the Four Agreements! This is the first of your videos I've watched and I just bought that book and I'm about to read it! I'll take that as a sign!

I loved the brief visual of the ears down with the little cap. The one floppy is very cute too. Thanks for another great instruction video.

Those small new layer/duplicates along the way is brilliant! Its almost common sense, which apparently I lack, but am so grateful for you showing us your process!

As a graphic designer for many years and ui ux designer now I am facing with feedback so many times especially from clients and marketing managers. First years where tough . I thought they where talking about me personally and my skills but then I realized is the point of their view seeing things and with some people we can’t connect on the same style or mindset . Best thing you can do is hearing feedback that is constructive, mean feedback from me is not even noticeable, and then if you believe it worths the time do the changes . If the feedback is from client things are different and some, times you need to step back and do it because they pay you . Overall I loved the video and the conversation . Those are things all creative people struggle with everyday and is good to talk about it ❤

I love the ears down. We cannot please everyone. We all have different tastes. It is good to get feedback but weigh them up, depending on what you are trying to convey, trust your instincts as they will find the right thing.

When I was creating graphic designs such as for logos, my customers didn't know what they wanted, until I showed them something, and then they knew what they didn't want! Once I had a better understanding I always felt I owed it to them to present 3 to 4 variations. 9 times out of 10, they'd select the first one!

I design bathrooms for a living. I ask a ton of questions, and start pulling samples together. I continue to evalute whats on the table while the customer is telling me stories and discussing details. My experience and knowledge of product is what drives me, but watching and listening to my customers reaction is what makes a kick ass design. By the time they leave I usually get " how did you do that?" Because they are in love with the selections and its not even what they thought they wanted. I realize now, i need to apply that to my art as well.

How fun! Sometimes, feedback from clients can be a bit of a drag, but you're so right: there is SO much to the co-creativity aspect of it! It reminds me of my grandfather, a paint salesman and advisor. He was also very much color-blind. He always said his trick was to wait and see what the client was excited about and then build from there based on color theory. Not one client ever figured out he couldn't actually see the colors he was talking about!

@@GenevievesDesignStudio that is amazing! We just realized a few years ago that my dad was more color blind than we thought. He was a landscape designer and created beautiful gardens and couldnt see the real color of his favorite plant! It wasnt til he had eye surgery that he could see that color.
