My close friend texted me today and hes having heart bypass surgery.. My mom just had heart surgery last year for a artery. But luckily my mom she made some pretty drastic lifestyle changes and has lost weight she's eating more vegetables, she goes to farmer market now... advice I found on your videos I tell to my mom and I have been truly so touched to see her turn her life around. We love nettle tea! Found out about it when my husband was getting gout. We've since gone plant based and he's had no gout flares since but we still drink the nettle. Adding a squeeze of lemon or lime really makes it delicious. Brightens it up!

You can also put the dumplings in a pan with a bit of oil and then a good inch of water. Cover it and by the time it's done the dumplings should have steamed first and fried on the base 2nd. If you haven't tried it I totally recommend

You may already be aware, but neti pots are really good for allergies. When I started using one a few weeks back, the allergy symptoms have been way easier to deal with.

Hi Derek I hope you see this but wanted to let you guys know about Raos pasta sauce. The Marinara may not be Vegan. In his recipe he used fat back for flavoring. He may have changed it for his jar Marinara but just double check. Thank you for everything you do...I love you guys. You're a joy!

Great video as usual. I have found that radish greens - especially really fresh and large greens, like those I saw on the radishes from your garden - are terrific when cooked: a little oil, salt, and perhaps chopped scallions, and cook them, then a spray of vinegar and stir them to finish them in the hot pan. Give them a try.

Lemon cukes have been my favorite since my mom grew them. I plant them every year. I’m up to my eyeballs in yellow crookneck squash and the tomatoes vines are loaded but not ripe yet. I grew Cherokee purples this year. They make the best tomato sandwiches.

Derek, if you struggle with allergies, check your house for mould and a good Hepa filter because humidity triggers spores flying around. I get exactly the same thing. Also quercitin powder is pretty good. Good luck!

Blending is not the best for fiber as it breaks everything up, but I don't struggle with blood sugar issues, so I don't worry about it.

Completely different context 😅 but that is so relatable to me - I did “the big chop” during the pandemic and afterwards I had that same feeling of confidence (and freedom oddly enough?)
