Seeing Rocko coming back adjusting to the modern day time was a hit to to the feels man. I loved it. It was like meeting a long lost best friend, only to come back seeing he amazingly never changed. He never left us all those years, but instead it was like he was growing up with us, and experiencing things we first tried. They knocked down every single trope over the years in the span of a few minutes, and it was freaking legendary.

With CN's constant reruns of Teen Titans Go! and Gumball and rebooting the Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10 (the Ben 10 reboot doesn't look too bad honestly) and ignoring shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show, maybe Nick will surpass CN. That Alvin & the Chipmunks show is an acquired show BTW, so they can't cancel it. We'll just have to wait till that show goes away.

Personally, I feel that if you want to do a good reboot of something, you have to really care about the original source material and not solely about how much money it will make based on the brand name. That's why I think My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a good reboot, that's why I think the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is a good reboot, that's why I think Transformers Animated and Transformers Prime are good reboots, that's why people say that the new Voltron reboot (which I have yet to see) is good. Because the people behind these reboots actually legitimately CARED for the source material, they CARED about how the original was like, and rather than just cashing in on what made them popular, they found ways to improve them, to make them even better than the originals. It's true that they're all different and distinct from the originals, but what they kept is the charm that made the originals good. Which is why it DOESN'T work with Teen Titans Go, Powerpuff Girls 2016 or the upcoming Ben 10 reboot (which despite liking the original shows, I have no faith in due to CN's previous attempts at reboots and what information is known about it). I mean, I can understand they want to make it distinct from the original, but the problem is that they don't care about the original, they only care about money being gained from brand recognition, to the point where they take a piss on the original and basically flip off the original's fans. I'm at least glad Nickelodeon is respecting the original versions of their shows and are respecting the wishes of the original creators. Yes I still have problems with the network, but at least they know how to handle the concept of a revival better than Cartoon Network does. After all, Nick made the 2012 TMNT reboot and that's been amazing, so I can at least trust them more than I can with CN at making a reboot.

The Ben 10 reboot doesn't look too bad IMO. CN actually released a clip of it and it looks decent. Too many people are squashing it just because of Teen Titans Go! and the Powerpuff Girls 2016 and not even giving it a chance. Yeah, the past two reboots (or one, Teen Titans Go! is technically a spinoff series) sucked, but that doesn't mean the third one will. If you go into something hating it, you're gonna hate it no matter what. And at least Tara Strong is voicing Ben again, whereas she didn't voice Bubbles again in the Powerpuff Girls 2016. Also, on a side note, did you know CN is bringing Dexter's Laboratory back too? Genndy Tartakovsky is back on it and it's going to be a movie... and it's gonna be CG! You forgot Legends of the Hidden Temple! That show's getting a TV movie too, it'll be out this fall. This is THREE 90's Nick shows (Hey Arnold!, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko's Modern Life) getting TV movies. If these become successes, you can bet Nick is gonna keep doing more of these. Plus, Chris Viscardi, the guy in charge of Nick's franchise properties and who calls the shots on these revivals, promised us they wouldn't bring back a show without the show's creators. So again, you can bet if these become successful, we'll be seeing more classic Nick shows getting TV movies. Also, I noticed something else: the Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie is coming out this November and the Hey Arnold! Jungle Movie is coming out November next year in 2017. Maybe the Rocko's Modern Life TV movie could come out in November 2018. Then maybe this could be a yearly thing for Nick--a classic Nick show revived as a TV movie (with the original creators & crew back) coming out in November every year. When they announced a Rocko special I was kind of hesitant, but you make a good point. I prefer just a one-shot special over a full reboot/revival, especially if it's not warranted. Who would have thought that Nickelodeon would (hopefully) succeed where Cartoon Network has so far screwed up?

I feel that Nick, when compared to CN, seems to have a better understanding of exactly what they're messing with, and that the fans that will either love or hate what happens to their old IPs (well, at least, Chris Viscardi does) and, quite honestly, it's incredibly refreshing to not see shows that I love return without the original cast or crew. Hell, even Adult Swim, despite it still airing on the same network, seems to have a clearer understanding of CN's old IPs, if Samurai Jack is any indication. However, while I like their ambition, several actors may want no more involvement or, in the case of Christina Cavanaugh (the original V/A of Chuckie) passed away. Sure, she retired, and they did have a replacement voice, in the later seasons, but, it all depends on how faithful they'd want to be with it. Plus, some of the original creators may not WANT to come back, due to past experiences (John Kricfalusi). But, I do wish Nick best of luck, and I look forward to whatever's next.

Now please do this with invader zim! People still love than and even have invader con's to this day. If they do a special, get the last 3 episodes for the season finalle that weren't released to give it closure, all in 1 special. They even read out at the con with the actors; minus the animation. To see them all animated would be amazing. Just add the last episode, the floating moose intro episode (which is why the santa episode had the moose in) and any other episode.

Yeah, I personally think the show is going to last another season and then end quietly. It's not really leaving an impact and no one seems to care about it. The overall problem with PPG 2016 is that it's too safe: It's not distinguishable enough from the original show, yet the changes that are made range from bizarre and unnecessary to enraging. The art-style is too homogeneous to literally every other cartoon on CN. (Seriously, do they just hire the same art designers from the same art school? Because while I do like a lot of CN shows, I do notice that a lot of them look exactly alike visually.) And finally, the overall execution of everything is just. . . blah. It leaves a lot to be desired and it doesn't warrant existing. As far as reboots go, this could have turned out a lot worse, so I don't think the show is horrible. In fact, I've seen a few episodes that are quite decent. But overall, it's a reboot that I don't think warrants existing and it fails to leave any significant impact. "Teen Titans GO!" left a large impact, even though it was a negative one. And whether you like it or not, it intentionally set out to distinguish itself from its predecessor and it did enough to warrant its existence. PPG 2016, however, did not. It's probably for the best that this reboot is forgotten. The original show is still great and I'm thankful that its unnecessary reboot didn't do too much damage.

I feel that this show has some great opportunities and so does Nickelodeon and I hope they take CLEAR advantage of that. I enjoyed shows like, The Amanda Show. A lot of other 90's shows on Nick were kind of slow paced and boring for me. I haven't seen Rocko's Modern Life, but, I need to.

Old shows that I would like to see revived as singular TV Movies are Invader Zim and Ren and Stimpy, but only with John Kricfalusi and Jhonen Vasquez working on the project, and the voice actors should be the same, unless one of the main character's VA died or something. Those shows are #2 and #3 in my favorite Nickelodeon shows list, and I really hope they make TV specials for them.

I think Cartoon Network has more original ideas, but Nick is better with respecting their old cartoons because Cartoon Network tries to reboot them and cater to today's crowd. While Nick just does reunion movies while catering to the old and the new audience.
