OMG! I had almost an acre in town before I moved to the country. I planted a weeping willow tree next to the teeny tiny pond we put in. It was so tiny when I planted it and 10 years later when I moved it was well over 50feet tall. I just loved watcher her dance in the breeze. Normally the moment I get a post notification I hop on YT to watch as quickly as possible. The last 2.5 weeks, however, I've had a beautiful baby girl and got to enjoy time with her at home. A few days ago, she started having seizures and we've been in the NICU ever since. I haven't left her side, and today it all washed over me the immense amount of stress and pain that's in my heart watching my baby girl fight viral meningitis that's causing the seizures. I needed to find a source of peace, and like always, I've found it in your videos. Thank you for letting us into your lives and helping to bring a sense of peace when I needed it the most.

Unfortunately there's been some damage, but the doctors told me that babies brains are more flexible than ours and can recover, rewire, and compensate so it might not be as bad as we might think. God blessed my family this beautiful little girl for a reason. I'm grateful he gave me a fighter.

[I know I’m like super late to the party but I’m kind of jumping all through the different chapters of the story of Roots & Refuge lol.] “I’m ready to go home.” That hit so hard in the feels!! 🥲 Thank you for sharing this! We live on .97 acres in a suburb. We make the best of what we have but this is not our forever property… I keep repeating your words to myself “turn your waiting room into a classroom.” For so long I prayed for what we have now. Our current home has made it more clear what our true vision and goal is. This is a stepping stone that we are so thankful for but it’s ok to move on. There were no trees or shrubs when we moved here and I’ve now lost count the amount of trees and berries etc we have planted to better the land. It’s a good feeling knowing that someday when we are ready to move on, the land will be better than when we came to it. This can be someone else’s forever home or stepping stone too! We are paying off debt and casually looking for a new property. Not sure how close/far we will end up from where we are now but watching your dreams come true inspires me and solidifies that ours can too. 🥰 Blessings!! 😘 ~Kristin

We had a weeping willow tree when I was a girl (I'm 69). It was a magic place e for my younger sister and I as we grew up. I gifted her one when she moved into her current home, about 30 years ago because of our many happy memories. I pray yours is every bit as happy for you.

Congratulations! Arkansas will miss you. I posted a comment a few months ago about how unhappy I was in my life because of being cramped into a tiny apartment during quarantine. You posted a video the next day about being grateful for what you have, and it meant so much to me. Life has been even harder, probably the hardest it's ever been since then, but I've been more grateful to my beautiful wife and together we've bought a home with two acres for me to garden and raise my chickens on. Being a military family and moving all over the country we forever dream about what will end up being our forever home. We have created gardens of all sizes during our stays in each state to prepare us for farm life when my husband retires in 8 years. We have been using our waiting room as a class room. It made me feel good seeing y’all not be afraid to build a beautiful garden even though y’all knew you’d be leaving it behind. Tears came down my face being able to see y’all start your new adventure at your forever home and being able to live vicariously through y’all just made my night. Congrats! @@slee7991 I live in foothills of NC and beach house in coastal SC so coastal vs mountains no matter which state are 2 different climates so it depends but humid no matter where. There is so much farmland from decades of generations here on the east coast of US, put love into your garden and it will love you back. We have deer and rabbit issues but nothing a little work can’t fix. Pray on it and trust that you are on the right path. I wouldn’t move anywhere else in the country but the Carolinas
