Here are three Pro-mo tips I wanted to share with you on back training. Straight arm pull downs with EZ bar and incline bench for greater ROM. You could use a straight bar as well. Multi tool for rows. This is incredible bigger ROM and I can lift 20% more weight this way. Or you can use 2 single hand paddles and a chain link. Slanted double D for pull downs and landmine rows.

Great content. Balance is something many don't pay much attention or even the stretch. It's the eccentric that causes the most muscle damage so it's obvious that the stretch should be accounted and paid attention to.

After visiting my parents` retirement condo in Florida for most of the month of June, and having access to the onsite gym which was great, I am back home in North Carolina. Gyms are closed here and will be for the foreseeable future. I have invested in a set of dumbbells in two sizes (25lbs and 50lbs) and I had to hunt them down for a decent price. I made my own bench and have managed to recreate about 3/4 of the movements I would do in the gym. I use my bicycle in place of the treadmill since our weather is nice most of the year I can do short bursts of speed (to mimic HIIT) and long runs (usually 15-20 miles and planning on doing almost 100 over two days) for the cardio. However cable exercises have been difficult to recreate.

@ScottHermanFitness4 жыл бұрын
Well... let me ask this first. did you watch my first video on Nuclei Overload for Biceps to understand exactly what it's doing? It can certainly help you with bigger delts. But its not an "instant growth" solution. It's basically more overall volume for 4 - 6 weeks with time off called "detraining" for about a week and then hitting the area again. Just let me know how far you dug into it so I can better help you out!

I personally love 5x5 I made great gains from it but if you have been working out past a year and a half you have made your noobie gains so things are going to slow down. Just make sure you’re applying progressive overload and try to aim for your bodyweight in grams of protein and just be patient

@@revealmedia4582 Sounds to me like you can't progress by just adding weight each time anymore, I don't think that stronglifts would be of use in that case. Look into programs like nSuns, 5/3/1, PHUL, Greyskull LP... Also, up your calories.

You can just put you hands straight on a bench and keep your legs almost straight and push/pump your chest down.. You know what i mean.. Stretches the lats like crazy No need to hang anywhere or use weights etc just simple
@TranscendentalMindX4 жыл бұрын
This did help, man. You teach exactly how I do but the additional lean-stretch mechanic I have rarely implemented. I pair VBar pulldown and Wider grip low Row and really focus my MMC on back contraction with the relaxed elbows flail and scapulae retraction. I've succeeded there. The stretch I get from the Pull-down and then the low-row wide grip positioning gives me more back focus. Anything I'm losing here? If I do employ the lean, I suppose the upper belly of the lats will get more stretch as opposed to the distributed stress along the whole length as in the pulldown, right? I could switch it up

@Jay-we2ek4 жыл бұрын
Set a bench on an Incline, lie on it with your chin above the back rest, and dumbbell row. The bench will support you while you focus on just using your back to pull with. And you can do anything from lightweight upwards. And you can vary the angle, elbows in by your sides for mid back and elbows out for upper back/rear delts.
@Jay-we2ek4 жыл бұрын
And for squats, you hold a dumbbell in front of you and goblet squat. In order to hold the dumbbell against your chest, you will naturally Squat more upright which is easier on your lower back. Or, a hack Squat machine.

@ScottHermanFitness Scott, would you recommend doing BOTH the vertical AND horiz. pulls on the same day, or on different days? I ask, as doing them on the same day, the systemic fatigue might be high enough to NOT give the kind/type of pull exercises which will be done second one's all (esp. if one is doing full body programmes, which I am)...which might either compromise gains (strength/hypertrophy/whatever) and/or potentially lead to a higher chance of injury...Of course, one potential compromise/solution is to do both kinds/types of pull exercises on the same day but rotate which type/kind one does first on successive back days... What's your opinion? P.S.: Another great video!!
