Warriors cats was the only reason I was able to learn how to read and write as a kid. 😃 I have such fond memories of having one of the first generations of kindles mispronouncing certain parts of the cats names in really weird ways that only made sense if you pronounce things very vernacularly 😂 and no game has ever compared to the role play on the forums 😪

The yellow kangaroo is The Boxing Kangaroo (now known as the Hockey Kangaroo) and the frilled-neck lizard is Lizzie, she is the main Paralympics Mascot since 2000 Summer Paralympics. I do find humor in John Oliver buying a work of mature art (also adult language in an English accent is magical but that's beside the point.). Oh the omegaverse thankfully doesn't reflect real life wolves as the way wolf packs are structured are much like a household, the parents, and their kids, no alphas, no betas, no omegas, just parents with their new kids and older kids, the whole alpha dog/wolf theory is based on outdated and unreliable research done by one person who misinterpreted the way wolves lived. And well when you got people who are into hierarchy or power dynamics in whatever context I guess with some sprinkled in things that wild animals do when horny or whatever along with other acquired tastes, you get the genre of omegaverse. It's incredibly bizarre, but fascinating, I also found this is very popular with werewolf romance literature which I guess makes sense with the whole wolf thing lol.

This was so useful - I feel down the furry rabbit hole because I watched a Turkey Tom video a few weeks back and wanted more context from the community itself and then kinda got on furry youtube - which found great creators like yourself who have taken time to demystify this community. I have friends in the community, but never really knew much beyond like 2015 tumblr level knowledge of the community. I used to dislike furries because my introduction to furries was the NSFW side of it, it disturbed me and grossed me out. It wasn't until recently that I learned how big the fandom is and that what I saw was only a part of it, not all of it. I'm 50. My muzzle is grey AF. :) I've been a furry for 30 years. I find it humorous and adorable how the furry generations after mine are so shy and embarrassed about the sexual aspect of the fandom. I know people are worried about being demonitized, but still. I have always viewed the fandom as an island of sanity in a sexually sick world. For me, our openness about sex and our free attitude where everyone can find their "thing" is a vital part of the fandom. It's not what it is all about, of course, and I am sure there are now plenty of furs living a distressingly G-rated furry existence, but to me, it is a key part of who and what we are.

I’m not really a furry anymore (was really big into it as a young teenager), but keeping up with drama and situations in the fandom is still very interesting to me. One little note about the Zootopia abortion comic, the artist didn’t actually intend to come off as pro-life (obviously ended up sounding that way). They actually made a couple continuation comics after the fact. The 2nd one is Nick crawling back to Judy begging for forgiveness and paints him more in a bad light this time, because he gets homophobic with her after he finds out she started a relationship with a female fox. The part 3 shows far into the future where Nick becomes a leader of a Boy Scouts like troop and Judy becomes mayor of the city. They end up seeing each other, where Nick apologizes and they go on good terms. The most wild part of it is that there’s a lot of political tension going on and at first glance it seems like someone assassinates Judy JFK style, but it ends up just being a little pellet of jam that she was shot with. You might know already since this video’s a year old, but just wanted to give you some more background just in case. I really enjoyed the video, and will definitely subscribe to see more content from you :)

I'm very new to the furry community and still don't know exactly what I'm doing, so this shall be a learning experience. I'll continue adding to this comment as i watch further into the iceberg Quick personal note on the Aggretsuko entry, id describe it as King of the Hill set in an Animal Crossing world. It's for adults but it isn't "for adults" About halfway through. Things I've learned so far: the phrase 'dude goo', furries made Putin cry, "recycled" plushes used to make fur suits, mainstream media misrepresents furry culture (as a gamer, anime fan, and asexual person I'm used to that), suits are expensive, political and bigoted furries tend to yell loudest thus making everyone else look bad by association I've actually witnessed paw worship on Miiverse of all sites. (A social media platform made by Nintendo that could be used on the Wii U and 3DS) I dont think the zootopia comic was meant to be anti-abortion or pro life. Spoilers, i guess, but by the end of the third comic Nick apologizes for his awful behavior. Raising $500,000 for charity is really cool. No deeper thoughts on that, it's just wholesome and cool.
