Since Tim Walz signed that bill into law, there have been 8 recorded cases in Minnesota of babies being "born alive," meaning they survived an abortion, only to be left on the table unattended until the baby passed away. The bill does not require a baby that survives an abortion to be given medical attention after it is born. So no, Vance did not lie about that, it is literally a fact.

For me personally, it's a baby the entire time from conception - I understand not every one would agree with that. However, if a baby can survive outside of the womb, why wouldn't it be considered a baby? I think the youngest baby to be born AND survive was either 20 or 21 weeks (I can't remember exactly) - in California, that's barely 5 months!!

That is like 7 days after conception, and only 40% of conceptions become pregnancy. To me conception is not the place to draw the line. If one says conception is the life line, then you are against contraception, aka birth control pill. I am not against birth control pills. As for third term, I absolutely agree with you. Abortion isn't the choice at this stage. The choice at this stage is a medical choice to preserve both the mother's health as well as the baby's. Thinking otherwise is unethical in my mind. Mother absolutely must make the choice as it her risks to weigh.

As another poster writes -- Vance was correct about what the law in some states allows for killing /aborting babies. You Tube has postings form Haitians who say that the concept of a "pet" is not common in Haiti. What about the factually false claim from the moderator in the question about Jan 6th? She claimed the courts found no evidence of fraud, which isn't true. The evidence wasnt brought in these cases - they were dismissed due to lack of standing. So she totally spread misinformation.

This is false. Many of the cases were withdrawn by Trump’s own legal team before the judges could decide them. Judges dismissed many of the claims in some cases but decided other claims on their merits. Take Trump v Biden from Wisconsin for example. 3 of the 4 claims were dismissed and the last one was decided on its merit. King v Whitmer from Michigan is another case that was decided on it’s merits. Read the law he signed, it allows them to let the baby surviving an abortion not to be given life saving care, allows the baby to lay on a table and die, it also does not require the death of aborted babys to be reported as a death from 20 weeks and older that includes late term abortion. Read the actual law he signed. Vance stated what the laws says not if the doctors were doing it.

Now I stand somewhere in the middle on abortion and when she presented it as a fact that Vance said babies were being killed. It brought out a red flag in my mind because from his view they are considered babies at 9 months.
