I never really felt one way or the other about Kane. But seeing him lately even before the Chicago game, he had earned my support on this team. Then, the way that the Chicago fans treated him and the way that he handled himself, and the finish at the end of the game I love this guy!

Rasmus Andersson in Calgary would be the trade I'd entertain. Good defenseman, with time left on his contract so some team control past this season. It'd cost more than a rental but smarter for sustained success.

💯 Agree, lean slightly his way over Hanifan. Same age, Hanifan slightly bigger and heavier, Anderson a right shot makes him more valuable I think with term left but new deal for both if acquired. Either one would be a definite plus. Go Wings!!!

@@fczip5493 yes but it makes more sense, with this team than trading berggren and possibly our only first left for a Tanev or Hanifan. I suppose the Wings could try for Gudas instead...less expensive but less impactful too.

@@fczip5493 this market tho, right-shot d-man, I don't think Tanev would cost that much less. I agree you'd have to add for Andersson though. With the Wings prospect pool though I think it's doable.

Flannel…. Line of the year: “Who gives a F@c#?” (About Debrincat forcing a trade to Detroit) #church Some people just like to be obtuse. The Wings are winning and looking solid on offense and defense so I’m happy! Who gives a flying fuc€ about the past or how or why at this point! Bravo Flannel!

They're different because the guys have bought into the system and are playing as a unit! Remember, Stevie didn't win right off the bat either...14 years (they were awful we he came). Great teams often take time to build! Hell, I remember when the "Bruise Brothers" came to town and electrified the city. Our team in Lakeland would win, we'd go to Little Caesars for pizza and we all had to get Bruise Brother glasses (oh the memories) God Bless you guys!!!

The culture that stevie y has created will start drawing more lucrative assets to come to detroit. No one wanted to come here during hollands tenure as they knew it was a house of cards about to crumble followed by years of bottom feeding. What people tend to forget is the yzer is building something sustainable, not just for this year but for years to come. He told everyone it would be painful, but when he felt we were ready and not just sneaking into the playoffs, he would become a buyer. But he would spend smartly. That time has arrived.

If anyone critized the time its taken for Yzerman to revamp this team to what it is now and i mean this in the harshest possible way were stupid! He had a year to see what he had and it wasnt much and the cupboards were bare, year two and 3 he added fillers and bought out bad contracts and drafted, year 3 and 4 the draft picks an fillers played well and crunbled prior to the trade deadline and Stevie saw exactly what he had and knew what ye needed and he said he'd address as he rebuilt if the RIGHT fir was available, Year 5 guess what here we are and the final product may need a touch up at trade deadline or through drafts or trades or free agency, i dont mean to break hearts or point out the stupidity of some but the Wings still aren't all in contenders and Stevie isnt going to bet the farm at the trade deadline, Real fans understand the process. Stevie will go all in next year or the year after if the wings make the playoffs this year and i believe they will. The prospect pool is teaming with talent at every position and if anyone cares to look back at what Stevie inherited to what it is now it might emphasize the growth of a near future championship dynasty. Stevie doesn't just want to make the playoffs because anything can happen that was Kenny Hollands mantra and look how it went? Stevie wants a true contender because he doesn't want to just make the playoffs he wants to win cups plural.! Detroit is on the verge of being a 90s playoff team with a 2000s style game plan. Here to pound my point home, When detroit won back to back cups the League started copying the wings style and format, elite players wanted to join the wings, so with the cap and parity the wings fell off in 2016, Stevie went to Tampa and his team developed a different winning culture that the league is mirroring now, Stevie is now with his team doing it in Detroit and hes a proven winner at every level and we have larkin Raymond seider Debrincat and lured Kane to a possibility not a sure thing. 2 yrs the wings will be a perennial playoff team that others with try to emulate due to Stevies success and the leafs with 70% of its cap in 4 fowards and a d man will fail to reach the final again

people need to stop saying worst teams in hockey or bottom feeders as if thats an excuse for not winning. todays NHL is ridiculous in regards to the parity in the league. anyone can beat anyone, a goalie could play out of his mind and steal a game. the sharks beat some of the best teams in the league this year too. the hawks played really well despite their best efforts and detroit playing 3 in 4

@@JaredLS10there’s no “bad” teams in hockey. During a regular season matchup… on most nights any team can beat any team on any given night. Shitty teams beat the top tier teams all the time… it happens all the time. Last night I gotta give some credit to the Hawks, they shut down Detroits best line pretty well. They competed very hard. Detroit looked like a team that had played alota hockey that week. Main thing is, they found a way to win.

@@JaredLS10just because a team has X amount of points and who,are dead last in league…. Doesn’t mean they are just gunna be an easy out. These are professional athletes n a hockey team. Playing a sport where there’s so many variables that can come into play where, a team on paper is considerably better than the team they are facing,can easily lose to a team that’s worse. Just how the sport goes. Especially during the regular season

Literally it looks almost purposely scripted like why was Patrick Kane standing at the blue line waiting for the park with nobody between him and 90 ft? I mean on a 3 on 3 isn't each player supposed to stick with their man and a sort of a Zone type of way? I don't understand why Peter mrazek went down so early as well leaving the whole right side of the net wide open it was very bizarre to me and almost seemed purposely scripted I hate to feel this way but ever since I realized that football has a bunch of fake plays in it I'm starting to wonder about all sports

Dude just enjoy it for what it is.. Movies and TV shows are fake and they are entertainment. Same thing with sports, which are also entertainment. More than likely, it's not scripted. These guys are pros and have much higher IQ for what they do than you seem to have. Standing at the blue line was a smart move. Either he was gonna get a breakaway pass or lose the game.
@philhamilton8731

He was heading for the bench and saw what was happening in Chicago's end and stayed on the ice. It's not like he was standing there waiting for a breakaway as per the agreed upon script.

@riggedreality420 , be careful, you could also be showing early signs of psychosis- possibly cannibus induced. I'm only half-joking, since I am also a nurse IRL, a beer league goaltender, and your username fits. There was nothing suspicious about that play and the reason Mrazek went down early was because Kane was delaying his release for that precise moment. Mrazek and his muscle memory know that 9/10 other skaters would have panic shot that play in OT. Heck, Mrazek was already in a paniced state himself considering the action just prior. Us goalies, we watch body language and how a player is holding their stick to deduce where the puck is probably going. Like Datsyuk before him, Kane is also a master at deceiving goalies with their approach And in ways so subtle that only goalies can appreciate.
