I started watching your Craft and Crime vids after watching more of your bookbinding ones. You and I must be of similar age... back around 1991-ish, I bought a book "The Encyclopedia of Forensic Science" by Brian Lane. This was waaay before TV shows that featured forensic science. When I told a friend I bought the book, they asked, "Should I be worried?" I may still have that book in a box somewhere. It is fascinating stuff and I also thought about working in a related field with my biology/physiology background. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of these videos! Have fun!

You are a fantastic story-teller. I especially like your aside comments to each of the people in the story. I grew up in North and South Carolina during the fifties and sixties. At that time TV was beginning to spread, but there were only three networks and TVs still had to be plugged in and the quality of the images depended entirely on the quality and/or length of your antennae, whether your antennae was built in (also known as rabbit ears), or attached to the roof of your home. The ancient magic of story-telling, whether on a street corner, or around the big family supper table, was slowly disappearing. All of which means, that it is amazing to listen to your unique style of relating a true story while also trying to understand the motives and responsibility and consequences of murder, and crafting. Now that is entertaining and educational. Thank you. Please Keep On Story-Telling While You Craft. Be well and safe. Hugs from SC USA.

Man what a psycho she was! Going to the guy's house in lingerie? It seems pretty clear that she intended to do Lisa harm when she went to see her! When a jury comes back THAT fast you know it was real clear!! I always thought it was strange to give someone a "life sentence" and then say "oh but they can get released in.." however many years! What is the point of a life sentence if you don't have to serve it?

Wow, that was from my neck of the woods. Wausau is about 70 miles from where I live. I wandered south in the late 70s (very late 70s...Sept of 79 to be precise), married a Texan in '82 and had a son in '83. He was right around 3 when we moved back north to Chippewa Falls, WI, so that was just about the time your story was starting. I vaguely recall the situation, but Wisconsin is full of Dairy Princesses...actually we probably have more princesses than Disney...so it's hard to have one of them stand out more than any of the others. I had to laugh at your pic of the blonde girl on the 'cell' phone. Wouldn't have been any of that going on at the time this tale was unfolding :) Love the screen print! Can't wait to hear more crime stories. I'm from Chippewa Falls though and I was watching Johnny Carson one night when he had the FBI's statistician on, naming Chippewa Falls, WI as having THE highest crime rate per capita in the entire U.S. Sin City is what Johnny called us....hmmmm, can't remember what year that was but it wasn't the only year that CF took the prize.

Great video! Love the craft and crime story. HTV is great for a more "semi-permanent" solution. I've worked with ALOT of this stuff when I created shirts for my family. Problem is the more you wash it, the more the edges (and tiny pieces) will begin to peel off. So just something to be aware of. But this way is definitely better than the one time use with regular vinyl. Thanks for this idea! I'll definitely transition into this style until I can get myself the proper Emulsion 😊

Well, THAT was unexpected. From the title I thought you had made another one of your fabulous "storybooks". Imagine my surprise. But in a good way. Why is it that true crime fascinates us so much? Are we all just ghouls? Or just so glad that it wasn't us or our friends and family that we have to share? But I have to admit that I'm also a, hmmm.... fan doesn't seem appropriate, but I guess that's probably the most truthful name. Love the logo.

Marathon County and Wausau are beautiful places. Ate in Wausau this week on the way “up north” and again going south to home. It’s hard to reconcile beautiful places with dastardly goings-on, but there are un-hinged people everywhere. She’s out now. Scary to think a person that crazy and that strong is haunting the north woods. She could’ve cooked my breakfast. Creepy thought. On the other hand, it was fun to watch the crafting.
