I’m not certain when my next one will be out either, I’m currently stuck in bed with a nasty virus or something (it’s not corona!). The thing is, is you don’t know the full facts. In the UK, the courts heavily side with the female, in often tragic circumstances. Just in the last month, 2 women have killed their 6 & 1 year old children by abusing them. Women (perhaps naturally), in asserting more authority in the workplace hierarchy, have sadly exchanged some motherly love and nurturing in place of this other ambition, which is usually associated with men. It’s tragic if the men aren’t able to then take on some of that additional nurturing the children need. A void is left by the mother that she so often refuses to allow the child (and father) that additional love. Unless custody is granted 50/50 universally - women will either need to take a step back from work commitments, or allow their children’s emotional and physical development to be compromised, sometimes in the most tragic of circumstances (see serial killers/rapists, or most of the people in this video!)

I don't think monogamy is a human enterprise; there are numerous non-human animals who stay with the same partner their whole lives, because it's natural and effortless. I just don't think ti's a part of our nature, which is why cheating happens so much. It happens a lot more when younger because during those ages your attractive drives, what you value in a relationship/person is immature and childish (are they hot? do they have money and status?) If you're like me and do not want to have kids, ever, go out and play and have fun and sleep with as many consenting adults as your want BUT BE CLEAR and COMMUNICATE your boundaries - YOU are not interested in commitment. Express that right away before the first deep physical intimacy session

@Aryasvitkona
@Aryasvitkona Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, in this world she was, to a degree. I don't think she's a cold blooded killer. This case looks like a textbook case of an abuse victim hitting their breaking point, feeling that the only way out is one of them in a grave. Sadly, many choose it will be them in the grave. However, it's not uncommon for them to violently end their abuser. And given how after being stabbed, he goaded her and belittled her saying how she didn't have the nerve to do it again? Yeah that reeks of him being an absolute abusive shithead. I don't think she was an angel mind you, before him she definitely wasn't a wonderful person. But as she aged I think she genuinely developed into one with maturity and experience. She just uh... had enough.

I'm confused, David's whole family said he wasn't abusive, but didn't he attack her multiple times? how is it not considered abusive to hold your wife at knifepoint and have to have three people drag him off of her? not that he deserved to be murdered, but he definitely isn't the perfect person his entire family claimed he was after his death.

Well, something I noticed (having had a narcissist for a father) is that defending your narcissistic parents/relatives can totally be ingrained into the family dynamic and so I'm not shocked to hear that his family defended him. That also, sadly, makes his son's decision to take his own life make more sense (I don't think it was just about cheating like his father, but his worry spiraled into thinking he might end up a narcissist and abuser like his father, which he couldn't bare to think of). David being a narcissist also makes perfect sense with how the birthday dinner went. Something I picked up on is how he complained about the Bubble & Squeak and said it ruined the meal. From personal experience, narcissists are almost contractually obligated to ruin special events: knife to her throat at a family dinner, smashing a mother's day present, and ruining her birthday dinner, etc. They can't stand it when you're the center of attention and not them, so they ruin nice things for you and make you miserable to get attention back onto themselves. For all you know, Penny and David agreed to have Bubble & Squeak as a side dish and he chose to only started having a problem with it at the dinner table in front of her daughter. Not to say she isn't a narcissistic murderer with no remorse and not to justify what she did, but just to give some context I picked up on.
@Aryasvitkona
@Aryasvitkona Жыл бұрын
I agree with all of this. I don't think she's a narcissitic abuser though, especially not with how apologetic she was to the officers for being a nuisance and the like. I think she was an abuse victim, who reached "There's only one way out... a casket..." and, unfortunately for her husband, she decided he would be the one in said casket not her. That's not to say she was a good person, especially when she was younger she was definitely a scumfuck. But I don't see this as cold blooded murder. This is an abuse victim snapping. I was almost in her exact shoes. I even slept with a knife under my pillow too. And I definitely don't believe I'm a remorseless narcisstic murderer. But well... it felt like the only way to protect myself and my family, it didn't feel like we'd get any other relief. However I never managed to work up the nerve to follow through, and unfortunately he continued his abuse for years more... including child molestation!

It's odd, but something I have observed, the best relationships for these kinds of people (and, are the relationships for some reason that stay together), are the covert narcissist & overt narcissist relationship. One is more grandiose and outward focused with a bigger and louder personality while the other more inwardly, smaller, tragic, more meek like, and helpless. They create a balance of sorts, In this dynamic they are so focused on their own drama creation and manipulation in order to maintain their perfect little worlds, they don't see the nature or traits of the other. I think it's because they know they are full of sh1t and they are so focused on their own BS, it never occurs to them so is the other person, Arrogant ignorance, Each playing their own game believing they are controlling the other. It's the perfect setup. They feed off each other, they fulfill their desires and neither one of them is the wiser. It works, even in the face of them having some knowledge of these kinds of personality types. (at times, the depths of ignorance they will latch onto, can appear absolutely majestic). Now all we have to do is find a way to sterilize them so they don't breed anymore of these little f&ckers. Their relationship may hold but the offspring will still be f£cked.

Recipe for Bubble and Squeak!!! B&S is a traditional part of a full English breakfast using the cooked vegetable leftovers from the previous day's roast dinner. Mashed potato and boiled shredded cabbage (from the sunday roast) are mixed together and other leftover cooked green veg like brussel sprouts, broccoli etc. Mix is usually about 60% potato, 35% cabbage, 5% other. After the bacon for the breakfast has been fried, this mix is spooned into the pan containing the bacon fat and is fried so that the bottom gets brown and crispy, occasionally turning it to brown a new bit. It's utterly delicious and it's very rare to get proper bubble and squeak anymore in Britain. It's very odd to cook that up for an accompaniment to a steak dinner. You really need the cooked leftovers and bacon grease to get the right flavours. It's hard to tell who was right on this occasion because if the bubble & squeak was prepared properly with bacon grease etc, then HE was in the wrong and deserved to be stabbed 3 times. If, however, she just mashed potato and cabbage and fried it in vegetable oil, then SHE was in the wrong and wasn't justified in stabbing him 3 times, and deserved life. I would suggest that everyone gets a Bubble & Squeak pre-nup to determine when and how bubble and squeak should be prepared and served in order to avoid tragic cases like this.

Abusive and bullying behavior like David displayed is very often learned from the family dynamic. I would bet money that a fair few of the members of his family who came to his defense display some of those very same reprehensible attributes. I've dealt with the same from my father and his family for years. The lesson is that a person from a family like that can either choose to hold those people on a pedestal just by virtue of them being "family"; or they can view them objectively and try to learn all of the ways to *not* behave as a decent human being. It's a good example of why "loyalty" is certainly not always the virtue that its adherents speak of. Don't be a tool - always think for yourself.

My first partner abused me for few years, I didn't kill him, but thing is, that when I ran away from him and explain to some people why exactly I left that quick, everyone was on his side and nobody believed me, that he was agressive and abusing piece of s**t. All the time he acted as I was the one, who is psycho. Once he smash my head on pavement and people called police and ambulance for me. He told police that I'm crazy and they let him go that day! He cheated on me, hurt me mentally and physically, but after every incident that happened, I was the bad one and he acted like the victim and everyone believed him. And what I'm trying to say here? That even if bunch of close people said he's innocent and he never abused anyone, it doesn't have to be true. Maybe she had really enough.

He meant every word. ) My Dad was 6ft3 and my husband 5ft 8. I took it for a year. Mental torture. He had me believing I was a piece of crap! I asked for it! It was all my fault! His family blamed me! He was my first everything! I was shy, quiet, I did not fuss, I cooked, I cleaned, I did most everything. I was trying to be perfect. It was not good enough. Took a while for me to realize I was not at fault. It was him. He was crazy. I was lucky to get away from him without a scratch!! This was 37 years ago. I always feel some type of way about family character witnesses of the deceased abuser. My deceased husband abused me for years while I was in the Navy ( no I didn't kill him) and nobody knew. One time one of my neighbors called the cops on us and unfortunately we worked on the same ship. Nobody would have thought I was being abused and no one thought he was being abusive. His mom had an idea, but he was her " baby boy". His father who was barely there for him will deny it out of guilt. He says " No way! He would never! He loved you!" Tell that shit to my years of therapy and PTSD. I don't talk bad to my children about their late father, I just don't talk about him...ever. I have no pictures of him, none of his stuff and no reminders of him. The only time they see anything of him is when they see my in-laws. When a parent wants to protect their child from violence, the children won't know about what's going on. They shouldn't know.

From a glance: It was a mutually abusive relationship. Both individuals were both the perpetrators and victims, depending on who had the upper hand at any given moment or life phase. It was a matter of time before someone seriously hurt the other...in this case, the wife reached her threshold first. They both had a history of disposing of spouses in the past to chase their next piece, meaning both were narcissistic to some degree. When their youthful good looks and energy ran out and they couldn't just go on to another partner, they "settled" but were not the types to be able to form long-lasting romantic relationships and thus took out their resentment on each other. The problem with these "who abused who" cases is sometimes, just sometimes, is it is not always one-sided. I think this is one such case.

Lo and behold, her husband presumably cheated on her, divorced her and not even a year after married someone else. She is still alive, but it cannot be easy tk be betrayed like this. Happened to my dad. This last February he died alone from a heart attack while his wife was in Florida with her bf cheating on him. He wasn't found for 3 weeks and she didn't show up for another week and a half after he passed. She sold the house the land and all of his belongings within a month and I had to beg to keep his truck. He promised upon his death I his daughter would be taken care of but the cheating bish took everything he had worked for. Like 30+ years ment nothing to her. I hear her new bf is abusive and controls her. She deserves nothing less. I honestly don't even think my dad realized she was cheating on him. And my step sister who adopted from his ex who he cared for more then me his blood daughter actually ended up backstabbing him and help my step mom cheat on my dad and kept all the secrets from my dad. I didn't know any of this until after my dad passed then my half brother told me everything. I would have told my dad. Like how can you keep a secret like that. I hope karma haunts every step she takes. She took from my brother and I and she took from the man that doted upon her her whole life. He did and bought her everything she ever wanted. And this was her repayment to him. Stupid stupid bish.
