@Muhammad Salafi That's a long story: duckduckgo.com/?q=confederate+flag+meaning&t=ffnt&ia=web Until I'd looked it up just now, I never knew there were different designs to the flag, I only knew of the orange flag with the blue cross and stars. As you'll see from reading up on it, there are many different meanings to the flag, depending on who's perspective you're looking at it from.

Uh no Sir, that's TEXAS you're talking about. My growing up was a mile from the Beach..walked there every day growing up.. Like trees, (like you seem to ) - drive north 200 miles and find yourself in "The Big Thicket", trees you can't see the top of. Tired of being "in the shade" under all those trees, drive west a couple hrs and look at The Hill Country. This isn't mountains. but it's rough hills (great climbing) smaller trees and brush country, lots of streams and rivers through here. OK, if you wear out your welcome here, drive north to the plains...grasslands as far as you can imagine - few trees and waist high grasses - much wildlife here too.. Turn left again (West) and you'll soon be in The Davis Mountains. This isn't the Rockies, but these are actual mountains. You had better be a true mountaineer to walk or climb around here very much. When you get as far West as you can go "in Texas" you're in El Paso. On the north city limits of El Paso you'll find White Sands Desert. Like sand, there's a lot here - looks more like sugar or salt. I had basic training in the Army here. Drill Sergeants liked to have us crawl through this sand with a 100 lb rucksak on our back. . much fun! If you're looking for diversity - TEXAS is the place to find it. Cali is ok I guess, but I kinda wonder why we have so many people leaving there lately, many of them come here.TEXAS HAS GOT IT ALL !!

I would honestly say that much of CA is similar to the cities in this video. Everyone thinks about the coast and big cities along the ocean however CA is really long and it’s somewhat wide too so once you go in towards land more away from the ocean, there are many national forests and lots of agriculture so you have many towns like the ones in this video. CA has more national parks than any other state and we by far have the most agriculture in the country so there is a lot of parts of CA that people aren’t used to seeing on tv and in the news all the time.

California’s Gold (with Huell Howser) was my travel go to when I first moved to California. Cheers.

I spent a week in Grass Vally for work and spent some time in Nevada City. I was blown away by the beauty. I could never live in CA, but it sure was beautiful. I then drove up to Bend, OR. Just a stunning drive.

Thanks for this Peter, exactly the kind of scenery I wanted to see. I hope to be able to see these places someday myself.

Beautiful vids Peter. I live in Japan and haven't been home to the States in a long time, so seeing these vids of yours and Natalia is great! I was getting to San Fran about once or twice a year before this. I had never been to the Gold Rush town. Very cool! Take care and best wishes from Tokyo!

I was hiking outside Nevada City on the South Yuba River, came across a long covered bridge. Found out there are 8 covered bridges, all in northern CA.
