I think what water you are giving them can have a good effect too. My Mum's cats always drank tap water and I started bringing water from our well/spring so that her and the cats could use that instead. Their coats changed dramatically. One is a black cat that seemed to have kind of a dull matte black coat, and after she'd been drinking that water for a bit her coat looked very healthy and shiny. It got thick enough that she got her first mat 😅

My papa was accosted leaving the shelter by a 12yo Tom. Figured the cat only had two years left tops. Well, his then 4yo girls died two days apart in 2012 aged 13... and that Tom went in 2014, aged 23. He gave 11 years of cuddles and purrs. And to think it was a case of “this cat is only gonna live a year or two”.

The cat distribution system sent me 3 cats as well. They're outdoor cats though, they don't want to come in (I tried). I named them Carl, Dave and Rosebud. They come running when I leave for work in the morning for their morning feed and then they come running when I get home for their evening feed. And I also have my indoor cat Shadow who does not wish to welcome anyone else into his domain except for his older sister, my dog Bailey, so luckily my 3 musketeers are happy to remain outdoors..

The cat distribution system gave me 3 cats after my first passed away. The first two came as two brothers, one Siamese and other like your cat #2. Then this cat #2 found a girlfriend just like him: tuxedo, black and white they are so cute, they are together all the time. And I had to adopt it because I am a good mother in law.

I got my cat from the cat distribution sys last Nov. He was a stray I started seeing him in my backyard chasing a squirrel last June. I would see him around every so often but by Oct I wanted to catch him as it was getting cold. I finally got him Nov and he has been with me since his name is Loki.
