Grievous is the Droid general for the seperatist army. He works directly under Dooku, but could never be a Sith Lord due to him being a cyborg. Dooku always tried taking on an apprentice in the clone wars, but the emperor always made him cut his connection to them when they got too strong (asaj ventress)
@Putrefax2 ай бұрын
Bruh what is this talk about cyborgs disqualifying you from being a sith, Vader is like mostly robot lol. Grievous wasn't a sith because he didn't study or embrace the ways of the force, he just used lightsabers
@craigfernandez44332 ай бұрын
@@Putrefax seems like ya don’t know too much about Star Wars. Anakin was already very strong in the force and only had three limbs replaced with robotic parts. Grievous literally had midichlorians fused into his cyborg process by Dooku to try making him force sensitive. But that failed and Dooku gave up hope on him
@laytonjr66012 ай бұрын
@@PutrefaxGrivious can't be a Sith because he isn't force sensitive
@Catbus-Driver2 ай бұрын
@@craigfernandez4433 Technically it has nothing to do with being a cyborg tho. Cyborgs can be force sensitive, Grievous just was too far gone to make the connection with the force. The other thing that everyone seems to forget, is even if he was force sensitive, he couldn't be a sith lord because of the rule of two. Which opens up the possibility that Palpatine wouldn't want Grevious to be force sensitive because that would mean either him or Dooku would have to die. The same reason Dooku was so hesitant to treat Ventress as his true apprentice. That's an entirely different rabbit hole to go down, but either way, being a cyborg has nothing to do with being a sith. It's all about the connection.

tl;dr Loving the content keep it up, DECK RECOMMENDATIONS: Azami, lady of scrolls ///// Gyome, master chef for random food shenanigans I haven't even play cedh yet but I'm living for these podcast right now, i just recently started playing over webcam and I'm looking to play my first cedh games soon, love the content. now is my time to recommend decks for a format i don't know much about lol: With the mono/low color support we got in mh3 I've think about Azami, lady of scrolls alot for high power/ cedh, you can play new Harbinger of the Seas (blue blood moon), winter moon (just 1 non-basic untap per turn), and the good old back to basics, maybe not all at once but some combination of those, aside from that you can have instant speed wins with Borne Upon a Wind and valley floodcaller (+floodcaller is a wizard that untaps itself and draw cards with Azami) you get to run a couple extra free / pitch spells like commandeer and foil since you can keep your card advantage with Azami, overall one of my fav commanders. For a more weird idea i've playing a Golgari food deck using Gyome, master chef as my commander with a bunch of combos for higher power edh, i don't really think Gyome is good enough for cedh but the combos are really resilience once i setup i can present one or more wins for 3 to 4 consecutive turns, the main combos are peregrin took + experimental confectioner having 3 foods in the field to draw your whole deck and winning from there, and warren soultrader with cauldron familiar and either peregrin took or academy manufacturer to loop the familiar and drain the table, there are more weird and/or convoluted combos but you have no dead cards since everything is synergizing with the food theme to gain value. for cedh maybe adding white with sam and frodo partners can make it better, getting the white staples + another combo with the samwise gamgee and cauldron familiar, in short it kinda reminds me of sisay style play since it has some lines that can win from nowhere and even from instant speed (for some reason this still blows my mind) and also a bit of magda since you have uncommon / resilience combos.

After rewatching some older gameplay of y'alls Yuriko deck (and getting beaten by her like a Cherokee drum in local cEDH tournaments last month), I put together Yuriko and it is really fun. Good change of pace from my regular play style, and I added a bit of flare with more clone effects/copy spells to add some flexibility in the early game facing the current RogSi meta.

@faperito2389 I don't have one on Moxfield yet but the only major changes from Dylan's list are cards like Narset's Reversal, Twincast, all the 2 mana blue clones and Leyline of Anticipation. It has played relatively well in my playgroup copying Ad Naus effects and other big mana plays on the stack with the copy spells and the clones just add to the tempo plays pretty well. I'll try to toss it into a moxfield list sometime this week and share!

Don’t know if this will be seen, but could y’all do an episode or comment thread on how to get into Cedh. Is it a lot of proxies, do people have the actual cards? The free artifacts and fast mana and cheap search cards are all priced pretty high. Seems like average cedh deck can be in the 1000 of dollars. How can someone get into the format without breaking the bank?
@flukenukeem2 ай бұрын
cEDH is very proxy friendly, far more so than casual EDH. This is because we would have no one to play with if you couldn’t proxy! You can even use the Playtest feature in Moxfield to play on Spelltable. A lot of people at my LGS just use mtgprint and cut them out and slot the cards in front of lands. Then do a bulk order using mpcfill when they want to keep the deck for a while. Finally, they will slowly collect some of the cards through trades, purchases, etc. I was building “budget cEDH” decks for awhile before I realized I was an idiot and everyone else was using proxies
