@@user-me7iw6ft8z Based on the Videos I have seen. The changeling in campiagn can tern in to skar'Brand. So that is a yes for Korne. and I would assume all Demon Legendary lords as well. But i still don't know how they will handle that for Multi player battles. that are not in campiagn.

I find that little bit about the one limitation on his power the most curious - the only being he cannot turn into is Tzeentch himself. It kinda implys that he could be capable of taking the shape of Nurgle, Khorne or Slaanesh. It would be interesting to know if he is capable of doing whatever he turns himself into can do - lore whise that is. For example, would he be able to turn into Skarbrand and fight on the same level or would he become a unparalleled necromancer if her takes the guise of Nagash. Many of the Tzeentchian demons suffer a mayor drawback to their power like the Blue Scribes or Kairos but from the sound of it the only drawback the Changeling suffers from is that he might have forgotten what he looks like.

I think it's very possible for The Changeling to disguise himself as a chaos god in a limited way. Coming in visions and whispers, even to other demons. Replicating their overwhelming might is not possible, but an convincing Avatar that has the right "scent" might be.

Maybe he could turn into an uber-powerful being like one of the chaos gods but that wouldn't do much to further his primary goal: To be a silly little guy who causes problems. Pretty much all gods and demons have that core "weakness" that they've got one primary obsession and are totally blind/ambivalent to anything that doesn't further that obsession. So even if the Changeling *could* wield power to do something insane why would he if it's not going to cause his own personal brand of chaos.

My headcanon is that the Changlings and other daemons like them don't start out as named characters; someone out there in the multiverse began to tell tales of them to explain how they work and their traits... Like Skarbrand was just a bloodthirsty until a norscan told a story others believed and it then retroactively became true...

Being the huge WFRP fan that I am, I do find the use of the Changeling very reminscent of its entry in Power Behind the Throne. The original 1980s PBtT used a Doppleganger, which the recent remake uses by default. I think they made a mistake and should have rewritten the module with The Changeling in mind (rather than as an option for the GM) as it was a hand in glove fit for the plot. For anyone unaware of WFRP and The Power Behind the Throne (spoilers...) - this a campaign about uprooting a Tzeentchian cultist plot to overthrow The Empire. PBtT is set in Middenheim and sees cultists manipulating the political heirarchy of the city to further their own agenda.

How does the Changeling infiltrate Slaaneshe's realm though? The point of Slaanesh's realm is that it is guarded by temptations, and the Changeling, ultimately being a fairly undisciplined and capricious entity, doesn't seem like he should be able to get though that. Not that I know how Slaanesh's own daemons get through the realm, hedonists that they are, but I'd imagine it has something to do with the being intrinsically immune to it's distracting nature, but that doesn't explain why the Changeling would be.

The Changeling trailer has honestly changed my mind about wanting Egrimm first, looks like a very cool character. However, SoC price, lack of content and updates on Tzeentch's faction made sure I'll not buy the dlc any sooner
