Bought this pump at Harbor Freight for $7. Amazing. Needed to change transmission fluid in my Rav4. Was ready to get under the car .... Then i discovered this little miracle machine. I got 3.5 quarts out in about 10-15 minutes which is about all you'd get out with a normal drain under the car. I'm still shaking my head on this one..

I have bought no fewer than 10 of these from harbor freight over the years. Each fluid gets its own, and they're stored in a sterelite container. The harbor freight ones don't have the hose locking pieces that I'm aware of, but maybe they do and I've just never taken out the accessory bag.

Yay, correctly calling it a pump and not calling it a siphon like several other uploaders! It's hell to use for any significant volume.
@simonwagstaff2776 Жыл бұрын
I just used it to pump about 6-7 gallons of old fuel from a Cherokee that was parked for the last 3 years. It took about 45 mins all I, I’d say. I’d hoped it would siphon, but no such luck. Still, it did transfer most of the fuel, so I suppose that’s a pretty clear win, even if it took lots more effort than expected.
@ruck-a-tron3 ай бұрын
@@simonwagstaff2776 I change the oil in my wife's Mercedes with it. The small tube can fit down the dipstick tube. I learned that if you just pull the handle up, then wait a little bit, it will start to fill full of fluid. Then you push the handle down and do it like that again; instead of continuous pumping. I just chill in a lawn chair while I'm transferring any significant amount.

I used one of these to drain a water heater (from the top) that had a frozen drain valve. It saved the day for sure. Tips: 1. It can also be purchased at Harbor Freight 2. The ends are just friction fit on and can be straightened if you like. 3. "Lifetime Warranty" does NOT MEAN YOUR HUMAN LIFE SPAN - it means for the projected useful amount of time of that component. 4. Be careful using this to pump any fluid that has sand or grit in it as that will destroy the o-rings. 5. Pumping this too fast (like a hero) will also destroy the pump. Cheers.

I've had one for 3-4 years now and I've abused it and it still works. I've used it for gasoline, and for a little over a year now I drape the outlet over side of boat cover that pools water after a storm and get the water going then hang it and let it syphon all the water out. When it's done I throw it on the ground under the boat. That's atleast a year now of pumping water and not putting a little oil inside for seal and it still works.😀

I know it's super late after your comment, but I'm sure it would work fine. I've been using my cheapo Harbor Freight pump for many years now. I change the oil on my wife's Mercedes. Mine has a reducer and a tiny hose that fits down the dipstick tube to suck the oil out. The best way is, instead of constant pumping, pump a couple times and leave the handle up. Then it will slowly fill up. Then wait a little until it's full, then pump it. It's easier on the arms and works faster. It's probably easier with the larger tubes too.
