I know that many foreigners, when they first come into contact with China, will think that China is a safe and developed country. But only Chinese people themselves know that China's rapid development is built on the exploitation of their own working people, countless people's labor rights are not protected, wages are very low, and many people die suddenly at their jobs. The reason why China is safe is that China has taken quite strict monitoring measures on everyone and everything within its borders. You don't have freedom of speech, you don't have any privacy. Whatever the government says, the people must do. Due to the wrong policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, China has spent all its health care money on testing for the virus, causing a bunch of other seriously ill people to die because they have no money to treat them. Various lockdown measures have led to countless elderly people dying of illness and starvation at home, and a group of people have jumped to their deaths from bankruptcy. All the good things in China are only on the surface, China has always done a lot of vanity projects. It's easy to mislead a group of foreigners who don't know anything about China. Many foreigners think that life in China is good because you are a foreigner, while Chinese people in China can only accept 996,996, which means to go to work at 9am every day, leave at 9pm, 6 days a week. Is this really the life you want?

I was there 10 years ago. In autumn, the changing colours of the trees make it even more spectacular. I stayed 2 nights in one of the hostels outside this National Park. The locals whom I met told me actually Daocheng National Park is even more spectacular but less visited. Not sure about now, could be just as crowded as Jiuzhaigou esp in autumn. Jiuzhaigou had been devastated by at least 2 earthquakes before but each time Nature recovers by itself. Huanglong which I visited about an hour apart by coach, is also breathtaking.

Tourism is good in many sense, hope they manage it well with good balance between human footprints and nature. Don’t go down the way that Mount Fuji has gone. Hope this kind of words would go to their leaders or planners. If they are already doing it, keep it up and also be ever ever more vigilant. Wishing them all the best. For the western Media don't bad mouth China is already a good thing, so don't expect them to report any good things about China. I never saw a single good report about China in the US. I remembered when I first traveled to China in 1999, my dad was so worried about me. I was nervous as well, because of the propaganda machine from the media. But when I arrived there, I was surprised that it wasn't what I expected. Since then, every time I traveled there, I saw new great things.

Hi, Barrett, not far from Jiuzhaigou, lies the world largest hot spring water fall/river, spreading roughly 50 km, there are many water falls along the way that you can bath in. On top, is a lake formed by melting snow, somehow, there're many hot water springs in the lake, heats up the crystal clear water which then flows down through the valley. I highly recommend your checking it out. It will be a lifetime experience.

I like Jiuzhaigou Valley very much! I have been there 30 years ago. It's very beautiful, especially the five colors pond.
