It is worth to mention I left the female side of bodybuilding out of this video BECAUSE I plan on doing a ''History Of Female Bodybuilding" video in the future. Also with so many years to cover in this video, many names were left out.

Goes tooooo.... Shiny Shoulders!! Sorry Marx.. I had to do it. You should see some stills I have from that skit where Bob Chic is shaking like he's cold. Bob is really funny if you listen to some of the stuff he says. I bought the 2012 Olympia a couple of weeks ago & he was cracking me up. I remember the quality being really good & Ollie with GMV is usually excellent at mastering the videos. He missed the mark with the 2012 Olympia. The 202 guys looked good but the open guys looked like one of those screens at shows. I made some stills of Shawn Rhoden because I bought the 2012 Tampa Pro just to see Shawn about 2 weeks ago. It's by far his best physique ever. It blows away his 2018 physique. The only part a little better in 2018 was his back but not much. Every other body part was more separated & fresh like a 93 wheeler. Aceto brought him in a lot fuller for the 2012 Olympia & he was neat perfection at Tampa. He looked bigger even though I know he didn't weigh more. I'll DM you those stills. His side tricep used to be amazing, even hitting it the correct way. In fact.. I'll send some real quick...then come back & finish this. I bet this was a ton of work

@@zhazhae5513 Thx Man.. I really enjoy doing it but it's been a matter of time. I'm recording an album & some other projects. I do have one video I have had that's been done for 8 months so I need to at least put that one out & maybe try to put one out every couple of months. I love talking bodybuilding & I've got enough good music for 2 albums so I appreciate the comment & I'll get that one that's done out soon. It's the 30 second intro I'm not happy with is why I haven't. The one I have done is about a bodybuilder who has a ton of potential & no one even knows about him. He is a black guy with very thin skin & huge calves which are traits that are more rare for black bber's. He has the bubbly, round muscle bellies though; so I wouldn't doubt if he has that Miostatin Mutation. He is super striated everywhere too although you can tell he's not super dry. Tons of potential & he's a big guy like Samson. I"ll give the name when I put it out. It's really good footage.

Max the Sandow trophy that Steve won in 1950 was the actual third place trophy from the Great Contest in 1901. The NABBA organisers had procured it and decided to award it to the winner of the Mr. universe contest, believing it would add prestige to the contest. They presumed Reg Park would win as he was favourite to do so. This would mean that the trophy would stay in England. However that was not to be, Steve won and much to their dismay took the trophy to the US. The Sandow trophy would disappear until 1977 when Frank Zane won the first of his Olympias. Then it would resurface as the Olympia winner trophy and remain so to this day. I have written extensively on much of what you’ve covered in this video. By the way Bernard McFadden changed his name to Bernarr. Believing it gave him more gravitas.

The photo at 16:47 of Sergio, is not one I've seen before - but what a photo!! Sergio was the most genetically gifted bodybuilder in history. Perfect structure with wide shoulders and narrow hips, and every muscle group - even calves - was long and full!! The early history part was good, but then it all became about the Mr Olympia - so I'd hardly call it "The Complete History!!" of bodybuilding. But, good job anyway!!

Interesting note. William Murray fought in WWI, got gassed, but survived and died a number of years later. He used his win to promote his own bodybuilding shows prior to the First World War, and then he promoted shows after the war had ended. Sigmund Klein--OP pronounced it "clean." (Should be pronounced like 'kline').
