But that doesn't accurately represent what conservatism has ever really been. Conservatives goal, ever since Raegan adopted Christianity into the social core of conservative "values" the goal has become theocratic authoritarianism. They only care about personal liberties so far as those liberties don't conflict with their theocratic view of the world. They want to submit people to their whim, but not based on any evidence that society would be better off for it. They are motivated explicitly by religious thinking, meaning that they are not working with pragmatic ethics. Modern conservatism represent authoritarian theocracy, which is anti democracy and definitely anti-republic based on your definition of the American governmental system

Every person has an ounce of conservatism in them. Part of pushing for change is evaluating the current status of an issue, and then choosing how to improve on an issue if it needs improving. Part of that process is evaluating the current state of an issue, meaning that during the process of change, "conservatism" is already applied to the process of change. So "conservatives" aren't a necessary balance because conservatism is already a part of the changing process. I would also say it's not very accurate to say the "main tenet of democrats" is "group decides what's best for the individual". That's just how any representative government works. Both parties revolve around this idea, the main difference is that democrat policies are much more likely to be based in pragmatic analysis as opposed to the religiously rooted justifications that the republican party uses for their policies.

LGBTQ people will also lose their jobs automatically and get tossed out of schools. Housing will be next, so redlining will be put on steroids. And now you see how millions of people will not only be disenfranchised, but now will be legally classified non-human so they will not be served by nor a part of a society, but made wary of law enforcement all the time. Legally 18 year olds are adults, but neurologically their brains are not at their final stage of general development. What pisses me off the most about the whole "absentee fathers and unwed mothers are the reason society is failing" is the legitimate fact that my maternal grandmother was abandoned by her fiance when she ended up pregnant with my mother because he "wasn't ready for children yet,' and yet he's a married man with a few kids now and has never even bothered responding to my mother's reaching out. It lead to her being more of a target for grooming because she wanted her father but he didn't want her. It lead to her being groomed by my father at 13. But they always blame the single mother for"making the wrong choice of man" and never once criticize the man for abandoning the life they helped create. My grandmother tried so hard to keep her from him, but she resented her for the fact that he didn't want her and thought she was just trying to take her happiness away, so she waited and as soon as she turned 18, they got married and she immediately wanted children. He's currently in prison on a 200+ year sentence for what he did to multiple little girls. He was arrested when I was 13. Growing up in Oklahoma, I was of course raised in the church and of course was brainwashed into the idea that it was something that I was doing wrong, a sin I was committing, because the Bible said so, and so did my Church of Christ community. He is a trusted inmate, and he became a preacher in prison. What makes that more messed up is that my mother divorced him when I was 3, because he'd gotten his 12th DUI and was going to be doing 5 years in prison (he only served 3). She fought him getting custody when he got out, but the courts gave him June and July of every year. She had no idea what was happening because he had made sure we thought she'd be mad at us and we'd be beaten if she knew. It turns out, this sort of thing is so common in states like Oklahoma that it's just not talked about much. I talked to my grandmother (his mother) about it later as an adult and she told me that times had changed a lot from when she was a child. According to her, her father and brother were doing the same to all the cousins and kids, and it's something that she had always believed was a matter between family and God, to be prayed over and forgiven, where the child would learn to not be alone with that person again until they "felt safe enough to be." At one point, I was discussing it with my mother in law, after she asked me about him. I started telling her about how so many in the church told me that it was something that just happens sometimes and men can't help it, and she NODDED AND SMILED and said, "Yes, God knows he felt sorry for his moment of weakness." Our child is 4 and has not spent any time alone with her since 1 years old when she said that. She was married at the time, and we were already getting bad feelings from him. She ended up being rescued by adult services because she's disabled (mentally and physically) because he was being abusive towards her in public. She gave him another chance because "he promised to change." This is the reality we're heading to, no longer in the shadows of "between us and God." It's all going to be out in the open, if this goes through.

If someone WASN'T assigned a gender, then if they're anything but agender (or maybe other nonbinary genders) they would be trans because that gender doesn't match their assignment. (Such people are free to consider themselves transgender or not, but by many definitions they would be) So if they transitioned as a man or a woman it would make them trans either way. Particularly in the eyes of transphobic, science-denying, lawmakers. ETA: Also Bigender means a person experiences or identifies with 2 genders at once. This can be Man/Woman but also Man/Other, Woman/Other, or Other1/Other2. ("other" here meaning "any one of a number of genders that occur outside the man/woman binary")

I'm glad that you're aware of this unsavory movement, but how in hell did you miss the obvious signs that have been visible in the Republican Party and other conservative organs since Republican Senator Joseph R. McCarthy tried to take over the American government in the 1950's by using fear-mongering and a witch hunt of American citizens based on their interest in the Communist and socialist political movements, whether said interest was real or merely baseless accusations. Then there was Republican President Nixon, who resorted to break-in and burglary in order to illegally skew the results of his reelection in his favor. This is the earlier actual case of a president and his supporters conspiring to literally steal an election. Then Republican presidential candidate Reagan traitorously cut a deal with Iranian terrorists in order to illegally win the presidential election against Jimmy Carter. Reagan was subsequently enmeshed in the Iran-Contra scandal, decimated American unions along with other acts that undermined the American middle class, based upon the ridiculous "trickle down" financial notion which was a poorly disguised money grab which profited the elite wealthy billionaires and large corporations instead of protecting the American citizens. Then George Bush Sr. ushered in the worst recession in America since the Great Depression. Financial studies have shown that the American economy almost always does better under Democratic presidents and administrations than under Republican presidents and administrations. The 2001 presidential election between his son, George Dubya Bush, and Democratic candidate Al Gore, was a corrupt display of Republican use of most of the tactics that Trump is currently claiming that the Democrats used against him in the 2020 election. Dubya Bush's brother Jeb Bush was at that time the governor of Florida, and he made a statement to the effect that he could guarantee the state of Florida's votes would support his brother's presidential bid. That race became so close that Al Gore called for a recount (while rumors of disappearing ballots from Democratic-leaning areas dogged Dubya's campaign). During the recount the Republican-heavy conservative Supreme Court STOPPED THE COUNT before all of the ballots had been counted, handing the election over to Dubya Bush.
