I's reading some Wikipedia articles on old fonts and absolutely did not expect to see a certain German party's name come up, banning fonts for being "too Jewish". You can't make this stuff up. Utterly nonsensical.

I clicked this after seeing your Auntie Diaries vid....but I did wanna say something....I hadn't seen Supreme brands until a few years ago, when I was working at walmart during the thickest years of pandemic. I saw a lot of folks with maga gear, "lions not sheep" type gear, and supreme gear...any time I saw the supreme brand, it was on a white dude walking my aisle with no mask on, because "plendemic" or whatever. I connected the dots that lined up with your video's thumbnail to be honest. lol Sure, I looked up the supreme brand and it wasn't as bad as I thought, but still....it was a while before I ever saw anyone black or brown rocking Supreme. Just an interesting thought.

The brand isn’t actually connected to the N*zis, but the typeface is. The brand mostly had a history of plagiarism tbh. But yeah it was mostly rich and white skate culture.

Okay never thought there would be so much history behind a typeface, I knew about the Bauhaus movement vaguely but this was very informative in a fun way, and more info about the stupidity of facists , a feature that hold across time and space.
