Before I got married in 1994 my best friend took me on a girls trip to Chicago. We stumbled into the China Club not even really knowing where we were or that it was a pretty infamous venue. The cranberries were playing. Probably one of the most epic live shows Ive ever seen.

I have several kids. I'm sure when they were that age they thought I was very annoying also. I have been pushing my music on them since the time they were born. Now that they are all in their twenties, I do hear them playing that same music that I love and appreciating it. It makes it all worthwhile!

I'm an old school "Dad" rock kinda guy, seeing as i was in my teens in the early '70s, I was listening to Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Queen, Aerosmith, ZZ Top and the like as they released their albums. The Cranberries and other groups from the '90s and newer have songs that just hit a nerve now and then.

I've got a 14 year old girl in UK who has cranberries album on vinyl we went record shopping when she got her record player last year and she asked for it never even exposed her to them myself even although I loved them in my late teenage years. she heard Zombie on Derry Girls Channel 4 comedy . Wow.. this song brings a a lot of memories.. 10 years ago I attended a Cranberries concert in my home city and was incredible.. they "closed" with this song (17 songs) and the encore were 4 more songs (for a 21 songs setlist).. closing with Dreams.. David Archbold I was so lucky to have seen the Cranberries live. I saw them at Murayfield it was an all day festival,the band were backing REM. I hadn't heard much of the Cranberries and wasn't expecting much but they came on blew my mind away. Delores's voice was so mercurial her voice could be so powerful and yet at times so serene. The set was packed with brilliant songs such as Zombie,Linger and Dreams they were so close to blowing REM off the stage. There will never be another Delores, RIP Delores 💔

With songs people usually have thoughts or feelings attached to them, for me this takes me back to when I was a child, riding in my dads truck driving out in the country. So like you guys I also get chills too as my father passed away 5 years ago and this is a memory that I will never forget because of this song.
