Being an Xennial I grew up on Queen Latifah, Salt N Peppa, Missy & TLC as well as Foxy/Kim ect. It’s frustrating that the labels don’t give female conscious rappers more love. My favorite track in hip hop ever is DJ Vadim’s remix of Sarah Jones’ spoken word Your Revolution. It sucks that the industry implied only sexy women were worth paying attention to by side lining QL & Missy for not being skinny/traditionally hot.

As a 30 year old man. I don't have a problem with anybody voicing they're preferences. But we have to realize that realistically people don't and won't mind they're business. That does not mean you stop doing you. And in my early 20's I spit a lot of game. Hell i struck out more than anything. But I had to get older and mature to realize I'm not what every woman wants.
