Can we not say it's a remake but another adaptation of the comics? And if you read the other comics of The Crow, you will find that it took a lot of influence from those instead of just the original comic. Simply put, The Crow remake is adapting the original comic yet also taking influence from the other Crow comics which I think helps to stand from its own compared to the original. I really liked that they didn't took a lot of influence from the original movie but rather the comics instead because it makes it easier to view it as its own thing and not make me compare it to the OG.

You missed the fact that one of the writers is the actual creator of The Crow character, James O' Barr. He himself said that this isn't a remake of the '94 film, but a re-adaption of the original comic.

The original Crow (1994) had a really gritty look to it, and while this Remake has ultra violence, it kind of screams more John Wick than The Crow. Part of the Crow is that he’s literally supposed to be undead. Bill Skarsgård's The Crow comes across as a dude with powers that make him invulnerable like Wolverine in this Trailer.

I'll be honest I don't think it looks terrible, I was worried about the movie when they dropped the photos but I still gave it a chance and I still have some hope for it to be good. I'll probably look pass the tattoos and just move on. I view this movie as a re-adaptation of the graphic novel and not really a remake. Its funny how you added The Departed clip because way back when they was working on this there was talks of Mark Wallburg playing Eric. The brutal action they show looks great and they do a great job of playing up the whole unkillable aspect of Eric.

Finally someone with some damn sense. People forget there was a tatted up version of the crow. I forgot which comic it was but there's a guy who got resurrected by the crow who looks like that. I don't know if people remember or if the even knew. But the remake looks awesome. I was telling my girlfriend I thought he looked weird but I saw him in action during the trailer and was like "fuck yea"

I have no faith in the director everything he's made (which isn't much) ranges from ok to bad. He also strikes me as a douche, cheating on his wife with Kristen Stewart while making Snow White and the Huntsman, and the way he describes this Post Malone inspired Crow look is just idiotic. That and the fact that I just find it incredibly disrespectful to remake the original crow that Brandon Lee died making. With the "direction" this crow is taking they should've just made a new characters. This resembles so little from the original graphic novel, and the 94 film aesthetically, or character wise that the people behind it shouldn't be surprised that people don't like it. The movie itself might do fine box office wise, it's clearly ripping off John Wick which is popular, and people who don't care or know about the original Crow won't care about the source material. Considering the like to dislike ratio on the trailer, and the fact that this movie's had an uphill battle from the start it'll be curious to see if it does well or not. I have no desire to see it, nothing about the movie makes me want to support it in any way.

I think people need to learn the difference between a remake and a new iteration this is literally a new iteration of the crow it is not a remake of the original movie it is an iteration of the comic book. Did you forget the crow is based on a comic book? There can be multiple different iterations of the same story take Dracula for example you have Francis Ford Coppola Dracula and then you have Bele Lugosi Dracula. Two very different iterations of the same source material.

The new one looks great it's just the trailer itself is just ok. New adaptation is not a remake of the 94 film it's it's own thing. People overreacting and overhating when it isn't even out yet. I'm named after Brandon and I love the 94 film and I still am excited for this. Another adaptation like how we've had multiple Batman films and Superman films.

I am really excited for The Crow Reboot. This is a reimagining of The Crow. Fans can show two versions of the same story and love them both for different reasons. We should also want this movie to succeed so maybe WB can release the Ayer cut Also The Crow (2024) > James Gunn Superman
