Big deal im 70 yrs old and i first heard them when i was 15 yrs old. Most of the original members have passed on. I think there is only one member living and its 2023. They were music students at texas southern university when they formed their band. My father was born in 1921 and when came up with their first hit album he gave me the history of them.

Scary to say this, but I've been a fan of the The Crusaders for as long as I can remember, and I'm a few months of 50. We played some of the their stuff in High School Jazz band (mid '80's) which was cool because I listened to them before that, and still do. My kids grew up listening to their music, and I'm no introducing my grand-kids to them... the 2 yo loves to dance, and she grooved big time to this song.

WE are in the same case. I listen Jazz Crusaders since I’m 18 and they never quit my heart. Now we don’t found this kind of tune. For me it’s like the monuments of the UNESCO we need to protect this top of musical art. They were the genius like JS Bach or Mozart. We need to learn this music for the next generations.

Clean, clear and without faux intensidad. Pure music without the frills that so many jazz musicians and groups feel are necessary to enhance their music. Jazz is a language as much as it is a musical form and when you understand jazz, you not only understand music better, you understand life better as well.

OK Guys- Ray Parker was a first call Studio player and played on as many tunes as Larry Carlton. Yes he was the Rhythm King, he also played on a ton of Stevie Wonder tunes. he can lock in a groove like no one else!!

Ray Parker Jr achieved crossover success with the 80s rnb hit, A Woman Needs Love where the emphasis was on his vocals. But his guitar chops are well_known as a studio musician.
