Funnily enough, you can still go down the path of frenzied flame after Melina sacrifices herself at the forge. You will get the same ending cutscene except, obviously, Melina won't show up. So technically you can create an ending where you become the Lord of Chaos where, in the end, there will be no one to stop you.

There's a reason why Miyazaki allowed us to do this. It has to do with the coming expansion pack. We will discover a truth about Melina/Marika that's so damning, so frustrating to the player, that even if Melina has already sacrificed herself for you, the player could roleplay a tarnished that wants vengeance for some great harm done upon us, once that DLC ends and we return from Farum Azula.

I like that they made it so you can actually avoid getting the ending bit with Melina by having her burn herself at the Giant's home then seeing the 3 fingers and embracing chaos.

I feel the Frenzied Flame ending would be the perfect backdrop lore for Elden Ring 2. The alliance of outer gods, heroes, and villains that managed to bring down the Lord Of Frenzied Flame and rebuilt the world gives you plenty to expand the setting.

wait till the mid credits scene when bloodborne and dark souls characters come in and start marveling, and then the post credit scene; radahn's death causes the PCA and corporations from armored core 6 to drop in and become the new antagonist with their guns for no reason and then they all crack some really low quality jokes for cheap laughs

I was thinking a Frenzied Lord DLC that can only be played if you have a character save file that has the frenzied flame and beaten the game with it. You play as Melina on a quest to kill your character and free the world from Madness. Or, like in the Dark Souls series, play as another Tarnished to kill the Lord of Frenzied Flame and free the world from chaos.

Others have said this before, but the connection with the great caravan and the Jewish holocaust is striking. The caravan victims in the shunning grounds even look a bit like holocaust victims from old WW2 photos - wasted away. That is a very creepy area of the game. The three fingers being the 'devil' figure that the merchants end up embracing in revenge to create an antichrist-type to destroy the golden order is an interesting twist. I wish they would have kept Kale's questline in, bc I think it's very good.

I just had a mind theory I want to write down before I forget. Well not exactly a theory. But basically, it is super clear that the 2 Fingers and the 3 Fingers themselves were probably 1 whole hand at one point. And at that point it is clearly a hand cut off at the wrist so I want to see who that whole hand belongs to.

There's far more evidence that says they were never the same entity than there is saying they were -- the biggest, and most often overlooked, being the fact that there's MANY Two Fingers in the game, and only ONE Three Fingers. Beyond that, the 3 Fingers are substantially smaller than the Two Fingers. ZullieTheWitch has a video denouncing this theory, and even shows just how minuscule the Three Fingers are when put next to the Two Fingers. They don't fit together at all. If you don't want to use the Game model or video as proof, just look at Vyke's Armor: you can see how small the fingers that grabbed him were. They're not the same entity, and evidence leans more that they never were.

When you got to the part about Hyetta possessing Irina's body I had to stop you right there. That's simply incorrect. Irina's body is still dead in the Weeping Peninsula even after completing Hyetta's questline. So it's more of a projection used by Shabriri. It takes on a form similar to Irina because it was meant to lure Edgar to chaos, just like how it used Lansseax, Eleonora, and Melina to lure Vyke, Shura, and the player.

not sure I can agree here, edgar has the banished knights halberd to show us that he was always leading a life of frenzy in some way. It's possible shabriri put Hyetta into place, but why then would hyetta have the same traits as irina barring being a maiden?

Shabiri and Hyetta aren't the same person, or rather they don't seem to be the same. Hyetta isn't guiding you to the Frenzied Flame at all -- she's personally heading for it, without knowing it, and gives no indication of where it even is. Shabriri straight up tells you where to go to find it immediately after meeting him. They're both connected to the Frenzied Flame, both of them are either wearing someone who died in despair or otherwise taking their form for their own, but beyond that they're not the same person. In Edgar's case, he seems more like he just went mad with grief and went on an attempted Genocide against the Misbegotten, before snapping and attacking anything that gets near with the Frenzied Flame. Lansseax has nothing at all to do with the Frenzied Flame, like literally nothing. Just because she loved Vyke doesn't mean she's a pawn of Frenzy. Eleanora and Yura are also completely unaffiliated with the Flame, and in Eleanora's case is more likely a servant to the Formless Mother. Yura becoming Shabriri's vessel is more likely a cause of his despair upon death than any former relationship -- because he has NOTHING to do with the Frenzied Flame before Shabriri. And Melina is the only NPC in the entire game to quite clearly despise and denounce the Flame of Frenzy as soon as it's mentioned. Her role is to push you AWAY from the Flame, not lure you towards it. You have a leg to stand on with Hyetta and Shabriri -- not one I agree with, but there's a case to be made there. Everything else feels like you have one of those Conspiracy boards hung up that has some sort of crazy theory that the Milkman is secretly a government robot that's trying to steal your fortune because you saw him talking to your neighbor, who you know is working with the KGB because his eyes were blue when you met him, but now they're a pale sapphire.

well if you think about it. Melina is the daughter of Marika and Radagon making her the fourth Empyrean since she is born from a singular god like her full sibling Miquella and Malenia. And Melina has the possibility to become the new Gloamed-Eyed Queen since the old one was defeated by Maliketh and led the order of the Godskins Nobles and Apostles.

Radagon was a separate person but somehow he merged with Marika and became one with her. When Marika denounced the golden order they separated again. That's the reason why Radagon is now half and the rest of the half is Marika.

No I don't think Miyazaki makes mistakes like these. There is sufficient reason to cut the content. First it wouldn't make sense to have an elaborate quest line involving people who are basically maniacs following frenzy flame and they probably didn't even undersrand what chaos stands for. Giving them such an elaborate quest wouldn't make sense. Secondly the available content does more than elaborate the details of Kale people and their fate. It is just one of the ending and if there ever will be a sequel frenzy flame ending most probably wouldn't be the canonical ending. There was another reason but keep forgetting it.

I don’t do this ending because of some idea that if there is no life there is no suffering, I just choose to burn every annoying enemy. I’m burning the people because the people of the lands between are my enemies, they all tried to kill me for just passing by. Also it’s not like they want me to avoid it anyway. I mean in my attempt to rid myself of the flame I got sliced open countless times by some bat shit crazy katana wielding lady who nuked an entire country once
