Age doesn't automatically deteriorate your health. It's the cumulation of factors that harm your health over time that you were either unaware or neglected. Most people become more sedentary as they age. Our food in society is not optiminal for long term consumption. It's now more processed than ever in any history of humanity. There are many foods you eat from resturants that are all processed with nutrients diminished or contain harmful elements that harm you. Over time the accumulation is what leads to weaker heart amd nervous system, weaker endocrine system, and lack of nutrients. The last obstacle is the adoption of technology. Most people suffer from poor sleep due to blue light harming circadian ryhtme. On top of this, if you take steroids. You are doing even more damage as your bodies natural endogenous production becomes completely dependant on the exogenous hormones. You will develop poor habits that are not healthy and not realize it because your hormones are not controlled by normal everyday factors. They are controlled by the drugs you take. Simply put. You will not be in tune with yourself. You cannot measure your habits with your hormones to develop healthy habits.

It’s not even just steroids but bodybuilding as a sport that puts a massive strain on the organs. The typical bodybuilding diet and a contest prep cycle, even for natural bodybuilders, is anything but healthy. Add steroids to that and you don’t just shorten your lifespan by a couple of years, it’s gonna be decades.
@EAT19993 ай бұрын
That’s nonsense. Natural bodybuilding is one of the most healthy hobbies there is, eating alot of rice, chicken etc. is a far better diet than what the average person is eating.
@Reckoning29433 ай бұрын
@@EAT1999 comparing the average person who is eating shit and is having a sedentary lifestyle to someone who is even remotely physically active and looking after what they’re eating is kinda pointless you know. And no, even natural bodybuilding IS unhealthy. To stuff your face to be in a crazy surplus of calories to “gain muscle mass” (which is unhealthy in itself, it doesn’t matter if the calories come from chicken or chocolate, to regularly overeat puts a massive strain on your organs), only to then dehydrate and starve yourself for contest prep (which, again, is definitely not healthy, no explanation necessary here) is massive fluctuations in body weight and composition and the human body is not built to handle that very well. There’s a distinction between lifting weights to stay in shape and serious bodybuilding. There’s tons of people who lift weights at a very old age, just like there’s many recreational and semi-professional endurance athletes who can continue their sport quite successfully until they die, eg 80 year old marathoners, but there’s hardly any (serious) bodybuilder who started competing at a young age, who is now past 60 and out there truly killing it. The sport destroys your body. Stop fooling yourself by defending a beauty pageant for men in sparkly thongs.

As a female- one thing I ALWAYS wanted was abs. I worked out with a personal trainer (both male and female) and dietician for almost 5 years in my early 20s. Finally, I came to the realization that my body shape is just not meant for exposed abs. My female trainer tried to offer me steroids many times to help me achieve my goal. I almost said yes a few times because I thought I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t reach my goal. Now, in my early 30s I am active, fit, do aerial sports and still don’t have noticeable definition in my stomach, but I know I’m strong in my core and that’s what counts. I hate seeing men and women, especially young men and women get into steroids. But I also understand the appeal. Just hope if I can prevent even one person from getting started, I’ll be happy. I think people don't know how steroids work, if you take them for a short period of time therefore not stopping your own production you can build a massive amount of muscle and keep it all if you had high testosterone before. From my experience I think this is how guys like alex eubank developed. Maintaining the extra fluid from the drugs and the new muscle tissue are two different things. A lot of these guys are much bigger than they could get without, but by no means does it mean they are staying on something. That tissue stays if you do it right, its cumulative. Makes sense because some maintain nice hairlines as well.

LDL is not “bad cholesterol”. It is only a problem when it’s oxidized by excess glucose and insulin. I have high cholesterol for over 25 years, but I’ve done a CAC (Cardiac CT Calcium) test and instead of scoring over 200 which is typical for high LDL, and where 300 means severe disease, my score was 6.1. Why? I’ve cut sugars out of my diet as much as possible so the oxidized plaques don’t form to cause LDL to clot.

Doesn't the fact that you haven't reached the end stage of atherosclerosis (calcification) specifically in your heart arteries, does not mean that you do not have plaques in your cardiac arteries or elsewhere?
@lohphat11 ай бұрын
@@ildisiri That's what the CAC teat was for. Add to that the known biochemistry that LDL doesn't from plaques when not exposed to excess glucose and insulin. I avoid sugars and monitor my blood glucose and ketone levels. They are not in a range which would indicate I'm at risk for arteriosclerosis.

CACs only show calcification and can be misleading. The real culprit is narrowing of the arteries, and it's possible to have this without calcification (via soft or fibrous plaques). For this, a better test is the carotid ultrasound or coronary angiography. It's great when a CAC is a clean read, but don't get too comfortable with the idea it's the full picture (no pun intended).

I f I remember correctly cholesterol reducing drugs had only marginal effects on lowering stroke risk, simply because most cholesterol isn't taken up but bodily produced (something of a 1/9 ratio). Adding to that high LDL-levels were suspected to not be necessary conditions of blood vessel plaques itself but if the LDL had been damaged through ... You also have to consider in terms of plaque build up, that cholesterol particle size comes into play and that is completely genetic. I remember in high school health they taught us steroids weren’t fair. So a bunch of kids I know took them. This video does a better job explaining why steroid abuse is dangerous.

The other thing that's important to note is you never keep the gains that you get from steroids. When you go off the steroids you lose the gains and your body loses the ability to create its own testosterone. I like doing everything naturally because you will keep your gains as long as you continue to work out. Also you won't affect your bodies testosterone production and you will not get hypogonadism. I think it's much better to be a natural-looking person with a good physique than an overly blown up person who looks like they're obviously on steroids.

At 8:29 you said "it is unusual that physically active bodybuilders have elevated hemoglobin". That is incorrect.

Steroid users really messed with my perception of what is attainable naturally and especially how long it takes to attain it. When I first started lifting, I genuinely believed I'd look like Chris Hemsworth in just 6 months. That's what all the magazines said.

Yeah nothing exists in a vacuum. Lying about this stuff can devastate people's self esteem. And make people blame others like it's their fault because they aren't working hard enough.

My 32 year old friend just died in his sleep. Autopsy isn’t in yet but it’s gonna be something like a heart attack or stroke. Whatever it is, it’s probably cause of past, maybe even current steroid use. Can’t think of any other reason he’d be dead so young. He was naturally skinny hit the gym and the kitchen, eventually the roids and he was yoked at a point. He wasn’t yoke anymore at 32, I don’t think he was even on roids still but he’s gone. What else is there to blame?

i really respect to those guys who dedicated and willing to take something that might kills them, they willing to sacrifice and willing to take the consequences of what will happened. i have been go to the gym for more than a year now and i was as a strongest kid at my school until university when i got to the gym i saw many guys twice my size lifting much more than i did and after sometime i figured out they took steroids. I always want to be the strongest but after i learn the consequences of taking it for me is not worth it because my life is revolving around studies and researching because i wanted to know the world better. I think we should prioritize things in life and only take the path we think is the most rational to us. anyways i need some opinions , i weight around 85-90kg and 175m i can squat atg 170 deadlift 220 bench 130 is it higher or lower than an average natural lifter at my weight ? compare to when i first got to the gym im not much stronger, i could bench 80kg for reps deadlift 150 for reps and squat atg for only 60kg for reps so is my progress slow ? for my diet i think i eat enough food but i dont really follow any kind of diet because i can only eat what my family cook. Sorry if my english is bad

Heres the score, cutting through all the bullshit so excuse the abrasiveness. 1. Eat Eggs, milk and honey or blend and drink it 2. Work out until failure 3. Get DEEP LONG sleep I dont give a shit what exercises you do, just repeat them until you cant anymore. I dont care what muscles you work on, just work on what u think needs improving. I dont give a shit what your genetics is, just get deep long sleep. Do those three things and you WILL gain mass, the thing is you WILL gain fat also BUT with it comes insane muscle bulk. Thats what I did and my forearms are huge relative to my size, my chest is wide, shoulders wider, waist wider, i could do more work on my legs but its whatever. I dont give a shit how you do it, just do those three things. It works. I know it works because I tried it, how did I know to try it, I came across a youtuber called OldSchoolStrength and thats what he did. I did the same and it worked for me. Do whatever you want with the simple information I just gave you for free, no bullshit. You cant say you never had the answer spoon fed to you. Have a good day.

Hemoglobin is supposed to go up in response to androgens, with or without oxygen deprivation. Extremely hypogonadal men will sometimes develop anemia because without testosterone, their bone marrow stopped making enough hemoglobin. Some anabolic steroids (e.g., Primobolan) were originally invented as treatments for anemia, before EPO was available

Steroid use and steroid abuse are two different things. Many people have used low dose steroids with very beneficial results. TRT is showing to be very helpful for many older men. Steroid abuse in gyms, where the desire for gains is so extreme can lead to damage. Also the high protein animal diets these people are using that contains saturated fats and cholesterol plays a significant role. There is a study using low dose Nandrolone for older men with arthritic symptoms, it so far is showing very beneficial results. It is based on experience observed with muscle wasting from diseases with HIV. These people are taking fish oil supplements, and have so far seen no appreciable changes in LDL.

I have been warning my friends for years but they just didn’t listen. Until one of them had to learn the hard way and had severe stomach pains and had a big chunk of his liver removed and is now battling the withdrawal symptoms. Trust me, risking your health and wellbeing to get bigger muscles is just not worth it and hopefully you won’t have to learn the hard way.

It's crazy to me how much our beauty standards revolve around being fake. From steroid usage, to plastic surgery.
@ziggyschumann52843 ай бұрын
Ain't that the truth ! Yes, we humans are so pround of our outward appearance, while in fact, our body contains stool, urine, pus, bile etc. It really is a gross body hidden by a layer of skin. Our real beauty lies within ( the spirit-soul ) And that is our real self, eternal, full of knowledge and bliss. Sat, chit ananda. 🙏
