Blue , Merle, solid white/or albino all tend to carry other recessive traits with them... And when you specifically breed dog's for dilute/recessive traits, other health or mental issues end up coming up too. Allergies, skin issues, disease's, cancer's... my sister and I got puppies at about the same time. I was invited to go see my puppy as often as I could - my pup was used to spending time with me from day 1 - I went at least 2 times a week even though she was a good hour away. As to price - I paid for vet bills and food. Nothing else. Sheeba (profile pic) arrived at her forever home knowing her new owner and after having spent 8 weeks with a loving family. My sister, on the other, bought her pup on line. They told her it was so difficult to get to the owners' place that it would just be better to wait until the owners came round our neck of the woods - when the puppy was 10 weeks old. My sister paid A LOT and got a sick, nearly dead pup who only survived after months of round the clock care both at home and at the vet's. I do not wish my sister's experience on anyone.

And again, the cleaning and rinsing and washing started. My other dog skipped the worms, thankfully. Another half year later, that same dog got himself giardia. And the circle started again. In the US, there are many in the Amish communities who own and operate crowded puppy mills, they view dogs as mere livestock and a commodity from which to generate income. These dogs live in cramped wire-floored cages and for exercise they have access to wire wheels no different than a hamster wheel except larger. When questioned they are unapologetic, it's a disgrace to humanity. When their horses (the backbones of their farm and transportation) break down with lameness, bad teeth, need often expensive vet care or just old age, they take them to auctions to make a quick dollar, instead of rendering proper vet care or humanely euthanized because of chronic conditions that affect quality of life. These auctions are where kill buyers hope to buy them to ship off to slaughter in horrendous conditions in Canada or Mexico.

You would think people who buy these flat faced dogs would also want dogs bred to be healthy on the long term than not, just based on cost alone. You spend all that money, thousands, for a flat faced dog, and then you will have to spend thousands MORE to fix everything that's wrong. I mean come on its just takes a bit of common sense. Smh. But if you are buying a dog, for any other reason than a specific working/hunting type dog, then you ARE a PART of the problem. And those who use the excuse of "pure breed" are full of it. You can always find a breed specific rescue to adopt a dog from. Any breed. Common sense would tell me, I'd rather spend $400 on a dog from a rescue, than thousands to tens of thousands for one from a breeder, or greeders as I like to call them. Unless it's for a specific working/hunting type, but even then, you can find a rescue organization for them as well. If we had a moratorium on breeding for 10 years, it wouldn't effect any breeds, except maybe scottys..... I just don't understand the mentality of no I don't care about the dogs health it just needs to LOOK a certain way, yeah what good is their looks going to do for you if they die or have to be euthanized because of health issues smh.... And if it is a reputable breeder, they usually have a farm sized and clean operation that you can visit as often as you want.

I'm so glad that there's people like you to take care of the animals that have been abused by others. I believe totally that people that have puppy mills and the dogs and puppies that are found in horrid conditions. those people running the puppy mills, should never be able to own any kind of animal again and never have an animal in your possession. they should have to live in the puppy mill cage for 6 months. For they can get a taste of what they have been putting the dogs and puppies through. plus they should have to pay a $10,000 find just for having a puppy mill and they should have to pay for all the medical bills for any puppy or dog that they had in their possession. Then when all the dogs and puppies are taken care of they have to send a year in jail for each dog or puppy found in bad condition. And 5 years for any dog or puppy that has died or had to be euthanized. If they had laws like this and went through with the laws with no exceptions. We would not have puppy mills .

I breed a very very few litters of working GSD. Honestly spend money on the puppies then I ever make on them. My dogs are form healthy tested lines. I health test all my dogs. Any problem no madder how small they are culled form breeding. Then they get training and alot get culled then form breeding. Then they must compete. Only then if they earn some titles do they earn a spot to breed. That takes about 4yrs to get that point. Even before breeding they get a complete vet work over and yet again some get culled form breeding. This how it should be done even before you ever think of breeding. Only breeding the best of the best for health, temperament, and breed purpose. To many unwanted amazing dogs to breed willingly. It disgusted me how people treat dogs. They aren't money makers nor should they be looked at such. I'm glad more people are shaming people breeding bulldogs. Use be such a beautiful healthy breed. Now it's a genetic mess. Poor things can't even breath right let alone other health problems. Yes I do breed GSD they known for hip problems but this why I cull so hard on breeders. None my breeders have bad sloppy hips.

I’m heartbroken seeing the physical and mental abuse everyday of so many beautiful dogs 🐕 . I feel sick and have nitemares and pray for each animal that is saved and still waiting for a voice to speak up for them and get the perpetrators the scum of the earth to do jail time as ABUSE is ABUSE and the world doesn’t need these scumbags in it!! Why don’t people speak up quicker if they hear, see or know of people in your street or a neighbours place where they think an animals being neglected or abused! Speak up for our fur babies don’t leave it to someone else please please we must be vigilant and always on the lookout to rescue these hurting animals. I’ve paid people to take their dog which I saw on my morning walk, I’ve had so many of Gods creatures at home with me and found them great loving homes which they deserve. I’ve done many things to rescue dogs but it’s our duty and if you just say “oh good job to the people who actively find or take these animals, well sorry it’s not enough. I’ve rescued and kept many pets by using my senses and checking situations out or stopping traffic to catch a scared dog and numerous ducks and I’ve reported hundreds of people to police and animal rescue. When I see some footage I get frustrated with the length of time it takes rescue staff to come to the aid of for instance, dog in frozen lake for over an hour after all the footage and the chats to me was so unprofessional and way to slow and that poor dog was just about under after so long. We send speeding ambulance to accidents why not for pets and these animal inspectors do a good job but it’s a life hanging in the balance and every minute they talk to the camera and we see them in a van plodding along with no urgency upsets me, maybe they are very understaffed but thankfully fire and rescue had the gear that situation needed. I fund 5 animal rescue centres and it’s half my pay. People please donate as much as you can they depend on humanity and a prayer each day won’t hurt!!!!

Staking is an optional service offered by many vendors. Essentially you can lock up your coins with the vendor to earn interest. The interest earned is denominated by the coin you staked. If you stake bitcoin you will earn a % of bitcoin back. Amount of interest and length or duration of locking up varies wildly. As always the safer routes will offer lower yields and the more riskier ones will offer high yields. Just keep in mind you dont need to stake if you dont want to. It’s just an optional service. Hope that helps.

I think you were too kind here. Responsible breeders often have stopped breeding certain dogs if the health issues become too great. The dangers of buying from puppy farms have been well advertised for a long time, as have the health problems of certain breeds of dog, especially pugs, bull dogs, etc. People still go for dogs on looks and stupid prejudices. Breeding these types should be strictly regulated, but people should stop buying them until breeders sort it out. Illegal puppy farm owners should face serious jail time and be banned from owning animals for life. For a lot of people, this needs to be spelt out in capital letters and they need to know they are guilty as well for not doing their research, trying to save money, and not going to a licenced breeder (not all of whom are very open with customers). If people reject dogs with serious health problems, the breeders will have to make them healthier. And get the bloody Kennel Club on board, with not allowing certain breeds to be shown and not forcing 'fashionable' standards, or close it down.

Not all of us are like this at all. To end all breeders mean there be no more dogs born. Why not support good breeders doing it right. I breed GSD. My dogs are my pets but also work too. They all health tested, trained and must earn title before even consider for breeding. I breed very very few litters. I only do one litter at a time so euch puppy gets hands on daily and mom gets extra attention she needs too. I have waiting list for my pups and yes I vet the homes before they even allowed to place a deposit. GSD are working dogs and I require a puppy buyer to join dog club and get basic training and social skills done. I do check in on all my past pups. So please shame puppy mill breeders but don't hate all breeders. Some of us really love our dogs and put more money and time into euch pup then we ever get on the pup. It's a love not a paycheck for me and so many other good breeders.

Parvovirus can stay in the ground for up to nine years, that's why vaccination to all dogs young or old is so important.

Hoarding is one thing. Dog breeding puppymill is a completely different. When the hoarding is causing animals harm and not being treated for medical conditions that's not right. Puppy mills in general are disgusting and horrible. Hoarding is a mental illness. I don't think ppl should go to jail if their intentions were good to begin with and things got out of control and they didn't know how to ask for help. That to me is different. (I used to volunteer in animal shelters and rescues. I've seen it and heard it all.)

Amen I agree with you but the courts would rather make FRIENDS with the people than caring about the dogs lives. Now they will say no such a thing. Well we are not air headed people. We are people whom love to do God's work.

i don't have a problem with breeders. without breeders, all the dog breeds would vanish. no more border collies, no more aussie shepherds, no more rottis, dobermans, german shepherds, huskies, golden retrievers, black labs, etc. "dog" would be one thing: a medium-sized brown "dog" shaped animal. but NEVER EVER EVER have the pup delivered - go there and see the mother AND the father. if they are not how you want your dog to turn out, do not buy the pup. the breeder should welcome you to come to see the parents and you should be encouraged to visit the puppies several times right from the start so you know you've got the one that will suit your family. also: YAY for foster fails!

16 weeks... Not a punishment, ore like a stroll in a park. Alll any type of animal abuse should start at 30 months. People on the "know" know --. And should have a type of physical punishment and lock up in jail -- both!!

Who cares if the animal spends it's life struggling to breathe, as long as it looks the way they want it to? WOW _Monumentally selfish & cruel._

Puppy mills are bad for both the dogs and the people who buy the puppies. It makes me physically sick to think about the horrors the poor dogs go through. Never buy a puppy on line, at an outside market or a pet shop. Always ask to see the parents in their breeding locations. If you insist on a purebred, make sure the breeder is reliable. If they are, they will have no problem with questions you have. Better yet, try to adopt. There are many breed specific rescues who have purebreds for adoption. Also, there are sometimes purebreds in the shelter system through no fault of their own. Adopt, don’t shop and help put an end to puppy mills.

Only 16 weeks she would serve 8 weeks in the USA. SHE will get out and start all over again. They have to be jailed for year's. SAD!!!!

Of course the disgusting pos breeder would deliver because he does not want people to see the horrid conditions their new puppies came from. It is the poor mama dogs that break my heart because they have to have litter after litter and be treated like they are nothing but garbage. Please UK shut these bastards down and throw their filthy asses into a jail cell that resembles what they have had those dogs living in. I think that would be justice. I also have zero respect for the criminals mother who won't show her shameless face. She knew damn well the conditions those poor innocent animals were living in and did nothing. I would take my kid down if i ever knew they treated an animal like that .
