Thank you for someone finally speaking on THE SHADEROOM and how much it’s destroying and pushing a terrible, negative narrative of the black community, while we sit and repost and make jokes of it all.

Theshaderoom comments are always negative. People in them comment section are never happy. They project their own unhappiness on others.
@AnnMarieCrewАй бұрын
@@jasminesanders6034 i absolutely agree. It’s so much hatred and it’s almost like people feed off of it and each other in the comments. They get a kick out of putting others down and those type of people cannot be happy with themselves.

Come on Duke!! This is deep. I been thinking this exact thing for so long now but not enough people understand. Social Media has made so many people out of touch from reality. I decided to close my media accounts & it’s been the best decision ever.

Excellent exchange, as usual. I do fear we as a people have 40-50 years of unlearning and reconditioning to do in order to move in that direction. 🥃🥃🥃

Thought this was a great episode especially when we talk about how we should uplift each other or remove it. I had to remove the things that I didn’t believe was conducive to my character, highly effective.

On the side Duke people influencers and celebrities depersonalize themselves. They market themselves as brand and try to disassociate from the average person. Social media has made people detached from the physical reality on both sides which deteriorates connection and empathy.

I enjoyed so much about this episode. Besides my deep desire to see and hear black men dissect the state of the black mindset and crab-in-a-bucket mentality, Jalon speaking on rearing toughness into his Son, Duke calling up comment bullies, and O's "how can raise the tide around this MF!"... I felt ALL of that! "When you're making your own and have things going for yourself, you don't have time for that." OH! AND my favorite, "We had more respect for oneanother because we knew we could get touched....When you got hands, you don't feel the need to fight." There was so much in this episode and it was because it was so raw and authentic. Nothing new for Nice & Neat....and, still, you all were able to keep it positive amd motivating. Well done!

To comment on the question of whether Black people can create their own ecosystem...we have done that so many times in history, Tulsa OK for example...but look what happened. The fabric of this country is built on racism, so we will always face these barriers. The goalposts are always moved. With ALL of the hate Blacks endure globally, we are doing amazing.

It looks like they will be keeping Lauren and Jess. I listen everyday and they are allowing Lauren to report the facts on certain cases cause she has the sources and Jess entertains more of the messy celebrity drama

I don’t think an ecosystem could ever be sustained based on the history of America and the constraints of not being cohesive as a community.

This world thrives off of negativity. In my personal opinion it obviously stems from sin but that’s another conversation lol. But i dont engage in the shaderoom or spiritual world or anything like that because everything about it is so vile. No one has empathy anymore. Society has developed a “i dont owe anyone anything” type of mindset. No one feels like they owe anyone basic kindness or thoughtfulness. And people have less lives outside of social media, so they are weirdly involved in these celebs and others lives.

Hear me out on this one. It’s projection. Absolutely agree that some sistas are still triggered that Majors was with a white woman first. They seem themselves in Meagan Good, in the sense of feeling like a brotha’s second choice. It’s the Ciara/Future/Russ dynamic where some brothas were triggered by her moving on and still finding a great guy after the bad boy. You would think Black love celebration would prevail but alas. Separately, I’ve also found then comments on Breakfast Club deplorable. I even wondered if it contributed to Jess not coming back to the show sooner. I can’t imagine being hormonally postpartum and having those comments to read. I also remember people dogging Angela Yee in favor of Jess when she first started. I think the same people/women who post like this are the same who are quick to say that you can’t trust other women. Again, projection.

If you actually paid attention to Johnathan’s trial you would’ve seen that he was abusive towards that lady maybe not that night but in the past. He’s only recently dated white women before Meg so of course black women would side eye him for now dating a black woman since he’s broke and down trodden but not at the height of his career. Let’s be for real.
