I don’t like how they jump Shabani as a troop. They deserve Momotaro who would not play that mess. Shabani is probably one of the best father gorillas in Japan. He’s very playful and seems very loving

I realize Kiyo is only 10 y/o, but he's exhibiting more older black back behavior. He's acting more like 13 y/o. He wants to show his father that he's becoming a silverback soon. I know Shabani could take him down now, but if he's still there in 2 or 3 years, it might not be such a good outcome for this wonderful father and son gorilla team. Glad things are back to normal.

А, вообще, можете пояснить из-за чего в этом видео Шабани набросился на сына? Из- за самки, и кто она? И потом, где же Шабани лидер, если они все вместе дали ему отпор? А он убежал! Странно...

When Shabani trying to correct kiyo his mother the old lady go crazy and her daughter Ai follow her mother and they run after Shabani. A lot of people thinks is cute but i always told them it’s not cute because they are undermining Shabani’s authority. And another thing Shabani is a very mellow gorilla.

He does act older for sure! Hopefully they will have something figured out for him and Gentaro. I think Riki will probably mature very fast with all the females around him too. I wonder if he will leave at a early age like Momo. The way it stands now there are no available females for all 3!

Kiyo are more advanced than 10 yrs old , more mature. Maybe because Shabani always gave him attention and lots of play time and nene go berserk when Shabani tried to correct him. Unfortunately Shabani is very mellow gorilla and Kiyo takes advantage of it.

Shabani always tries to make amends & apologize when he thinks he has gone to far. He rules with his heart not his head. From all that I've read about Shabani's dad Kibabu, he was also a fair & humble, but when you've had 18 offspring you learn alot but he died at 42 from a heart attack. Shabani is a wonderful dad & he has put up with alot in the last few months, he is gonna snap soon as they all turn on him for trying to discipline Kiyo. That pout & look he had for Shabani is gonna come to a head soon.😢🤞

I think things would turn out fine overall since their relationship is good. They will get into tiffs but they would still be fine overall if Kiyo had to stay. What seems to deteriorate relationships between two mature male gorillas is stopping play and only showing dominance displays to each other to figure out who is #1 and #2. If they can keep up play in their relationship then I doubt it will deteriorate fully anytime soon. Still it's best if Kiyo leaves as that would be best for him verses being #2 in a troop.

I could see Gentaro trying to really take his Dad on in 2 or 3 years but not Kiyomasa. The Shabani family are just different, in a positive way.

That silverback has to be one of the biggest gorillas in the world. He's 6 foot standing up which means he's an easy 500 lbs. That's so insane. Captivity sucks for such beautiful animals but apes in captivity eat way better than in the wild. Gorillas in the wild eat tons and tons of nasty acidic plants and leaves which leaves them in an almost constant state of farting and bad gas. If you notice, gorillas in the wild have these huge pot bellies from all the garbage they have to eat to survive. Their guts are constantly full of gas. In captivity they eat pineapples, watermelon, lettuce, broccoli ECT ECT which is much easier on their systems.

I hope Bani does not have a really hard time when Kiyomasa leaves. Shabani needs a new lady wife. He's a great dad. He knows his authority, and when he wants to use it. If you have kids the answer is not always beat the breaks off of them. There has to be a balance. Меня часто упрекают, что я переношу свои какие- то принципы поведения в человеческом обществе на жизнь горилл, но разве, Вы сейчас не сказали, что у Шабани темперамент человеческого отца, во всяком случае, перевод вашего комментария, именно, таков. Тогда, как быть с тем, что эта старуха Нене спаривается со своим сыном? ! Когда я написала об этом, мне ответили, что это не она с ним спаривается, а он с ней, у нее нет сил противостоять ему. А почему она не протестует, не зовет на помощь, я видела, как сейчас они набросились все вместе на своего " лидера ", может и тогда бы они помогли бы бедной старухе избежать насилия... А дело в другом, я много читала о жизни горилл в дикой природе. Так вот, мне кажется, а, именно так, там и бывает, когда всему гарему нравится новый молодой самец, и они готовы признать его лидерство. Поэтому, если Кие не отделят от отряда, Шабани придется "уйти на покой ".
