What this means is that elected officials will have the power to decide the technical elements of a proposed law instead of the expert advisers in that particular field. Never forget there is no qualification requirements, for the most part, to become a politician; it’s the only job that I know where you don’t have to have any skills, training, education. Just one more vote than your opponent…

This ruling is a disaster for businesses. Instead of a single, consistent, predictable AND PUBLISHED set of regulations, businesses will now be forced to comply with different rules for different states, different counties, even different cities, depending on how the courts in each local jurisdiction have ruled. In addition, there is no requirement for the courts to consider the economic impact of their rulings, nor any requirement that the courts incorporate the advice of experts. Our court system is about to be buried in a mountain of lawsuits that courts do not have the experience to resolve.

Yea, Congress was more than happy to give agencies decision making authority so Congress itself could sit and not have to make any decisions. Now theyll have to get off their duffs and do their jobs. Excellent ruling SC.

Congress doesn't enforce the laws... Example, clean air act, passed by congress, constitution says President enforces law, so president creates the EPA to enforce clean air act, as is within his authority. Congress has nothing to do with giving agencies decision making authority. Terrible ruling
