This is my favorite song by The Dells, I don't know whose voice is at the beginning of the song but the vocalists are Marvin Junior (baritone) and Johnny Carter (falsetto). This song was written, arranged and produced by none other than Eugene Record, the leader of the group The Chi-Lites. Eugene Record produced this song in partnership with Carl Davis. May I suggest you another song signed by Eugene Record and Carl Davis, please check out "Tell Me Where It Hurts" by the great Walter Jackson. I think you will like it too.

Woo Hoo! I haven't heard this song in a few decades. Marvin Junior has to be the best lead singer ever! Not to mention he is famous for holding the longest note in musical history!🙂 Love,Love the Dells , and always will. This is one of the most incredible R&B Groups in history. The group was formed in Harvey, Illinois while the members were in high school in 1952 under the name the El Rays and had a 60-year run until 2012. Was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Just absolutely amazing what they were able to accomplish!!

Another great R&B doo-wop group from the 50's. Their first hit was "Oh What A Night" in 1956. They had a lot of great songs such as "Wear It On Our Face", "Always Together", "I Can Sing A Rainbow / Love Is Blue", "Stay In My Corner", "Open Up My Heart", "Oh What A Day", "The Love We Had Stays On My Mind", "Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation" etc.
