The more I look at the concept art the more I'm convinced that blade fury was an alternative super, like how burning maul was to hammer of sol or well of radiance to dawn blade. I think they lack too much time and scrapped it for a super that was easier to make. Kinda wished we got a long ranged super that wasn't on an arc. Not surprised Im just disappointed.

I can never understand people getting genuinely upset that the concept art is sometimes cooler than the final product. Concept Art by its very nature isn't restricted by a game's systems, engine, in-game functionality and balancing, etc. In literally every type of media creation the process goes: "Let's think of cool stuff, then actually implement the coolest stuff possible for our systems."

Its a simple statement. Don't release concept art if you don't want to get folks expectations and excitement going and then jerk the rug out from under them. Now, like others are saying, had the Flamethrower been an alternative to Bladefury? None of us would be saying anything. That also said, None of us would be USING Bladefury either. Its an exhausted concept and we are sick of it. we have 6 roaming supers out of 8. I am sick of it. Not angry sick of it, just...bored frankly. I want the same for strand as I still do with Stasis, I want a NEW thing, not a roaming super, I want something that truly stands out as being unique or individual to the class

Anyone else feel that they just ran out of time with the titan super. As what we have now is at least to my eye a joke. It isn’t special and it has nothing to it that says this is strand. Even the effects that the titan class produce with their abilities are useless when chained to those abilities. Why would we want to sever with our melee and not suspend. Why suspend with the Nara case when sever is probably the better choice.

I’m curious what happened between development and release that made this much of a change. Am I annoyed that we had something different planned and we got what we got? Yes I am disappointed story wise with the dlc. There are huge amounts of bugs and hiding spots that can break a level. Am I annoyed that the titans subclass just feels lazy? Yes! Am I going to attack people over it? No that is uncalled for.

Lightfall. The year Bungie takes too many dangerous risks. The concept art looks fabulous but that's how it should be. Very rare when it does become part of the game fully. Missed out so much but honestly can't feel anything about the art. Well...disappointment is there. But for those who sent death threats and said things like transphobic shit: grow up. You're more of a crayon eater than the shoulder charging shotgunning OEM Titan. It's a bloody game! And yes some people make a living off of making content for us to watch and understand BUT it gives ZERO REASONS to behave like primeapes and throw shit when things don't go your way! Bungie in the current time needs to realise the problems being made and needs to focus on them instead of lessening the fun aspect that is already fading away. Again as stated; Lightfall will be a risky year for Bungie with the actions they are taking and what's shown. But it gives no right to attack any of the devs! The transparency being given by the company is nice but some stuff should not be shown. Like the concept art for Strand Titans that never came around. The one big thing that did cause irritation is when they mentioned "the toy box." That annoyingly can be uncreative and really can show. Cloudstriders while amazing deserved a better design than being easy action figures.
