I so adore this show! We watched it everyday at 5:30, growing up. We watched it each day so much so that when my dog heard the theme song on, she’d get up & go into the kitchen. 5:30… time to eat! DVD was such a genius & so physically talented! I know he had to pretend when he acted uncoordinated! Laura in her housewife skirt! But I believe she stirred up quite a ruckus when she began wearing her capris… what a perfect match was she to DVD… amazing dancers. I think even with the twin beds, they sizzled on our b&w tv in the 60’s!

Dick van Dyke is just brilliant at physical comedy, I'm not usually that much into physical comedy but I laughed through this whole episode, great writing and Mary Tyler Moore was hilarious too.

Carl Reiner said you can just leave Van Dyke alone in a room with a lot of ordinary props and he can make 50 funny jokes out of it. The best example is when he goes to write alone in a mountain cabin.

Dick Van Dyke was really funny - what a comedian! I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid - that theme song is so imbedded in my memory banks that I sang right along with it. They all look so young (like I used to). Thank you FilmRise Television, for uploading this great show to give us a blast from the past!

Me, too, can't get the theme song out of my head (that's because it's so good). Dick is an amazing comedian/actor/singer/ dancer, and all-around entertainer. He is the greatest physical humorist of all time. What an incredible talent, and still alive at 97 years old!

This is one of my favorites…don’t come in, oh you came in…I grew up in the Soviet Bloc and shows from the West were not aired. I saw Bewitched in the early 70s, but this show never aired. We watched his movies, so that’s how we found out about him, but we saw the movies during the 70s, as well. DVD was the best comedian and there hasn’t been anyone equal to him. So much talent.

I've watched this show for over 6 decades, but am only now realizing how much lying and deceit was written into nearly every episode. And by no means would anyone requiring that many "bandages" have been released from any hospital worthy of its insurance charges! If anyone had such injuries as to require nearly every bit of their body to be covered, they'd have been kept for overnight observation at the very least, but probably would have been put into the Stepdown ICU for a minimum of 2 days.
