Yes, on their records he is sharp, vibrant, and creative. He fills gaps great, I wonder if he was just so in tune with his bandmates or he was that good. They were gone so fast, he doesn't have a tremendous catalog. I agree and have thought he's the best drummer. "Break on Through" is evidence of that, I've never heard better drum play in any song. You listen to that record and you don't mind there isn't a real bass track on that.
